Rules:
No wank
No kink-shaming
Be respectful to everyone
The mod is not your babysitter
Use the warnings
No prompts with characters under the age of 16 in sexual situations, please.
Please keep the discussions in the prompt post to a minimum. We have a discussion post

Mandatory trigger warnings/warnings for both prompts and fills:

issues such as racism, sexism, homo-/trans-/-bi-/ace-phobia etc
character death
suicide
self-harm

If this list misses anything, do let me know, though please understand that if absolutely everything is added this list will never end.

You are encouraged and advised to add additional warnings at your own discretion.

Please make use of the subject line.

If your prompt alludes to the book or any of the other adaptations, please let us know which one.

Lastly, prompt freezes (which I have to say I’m really not fond of) etc will be at the mod’s discretion. I will decide on a prompt cut-off point for prompt posts once I know how fast the meme moves.

Announcement: A blanket spoiler warning is necessary for prompts pertaining to season 2. Just season 2 Spoilers in the subject line will do.

Wow. I wouldn't have expected to like this, but wow. I can totally see it.

especially if it's angry I-wish-you-were-the-Cardinal-but-he's-dead sex

or even better we're-both-doing-the-dirty-work-while-Richelieu-relaxes-having-faked-his-death sex

oooh oooh or it could be Milady incorrectly assuming that Richelieu left his spy empire to Treville and trying to get in on it sex

...hmm. I seem to have some ideas in this direction. But none of them are really what you wanted OP... so I'll cede the field to someone who can actually fill your prompt :p

With Louis continuing to behave like a Prick, the Musketeers finally come to one conclusion.

Why do they continuing risking life and limb for a man who is beneath contempt?.

When a New Captain for the Musketeers is chosen from the Red Guards, that is it, they`ve had it!.

However it is not the end for the Musketeers, since Queen Anne is no fool, and knows the best way to ensure her Sons safety and her own is to have The Best Men as her personal Guards.

So she commissions the Musketeers again to serve as her and the Dauphins Musketeers.

Under the leadership of

Captain Treville

Commander Athos

Lieutenant Aramis

Lieutenant Porthos

Sergeant d`Artagnan

They continue to do what they do best, protect France, The Queen, and her Baby.

Aramis now has daily contact with the Queen and Daupin, and the relationship developes along with Porthos joining them.

Athos and Treville help each other deal with their New Appointments and help d`Artagnan find his feet as a Sergeant, the three of them falling into a passionate romance.

Bonus

Telling Louis to go fuck himself!

Being given a new bigger better garrison

Louis jealous and regrets loosing his Musketeers

From: (Anonymous)
Louis clearly wants him and Rochefort just goes along with it for his own reasons.

Because fanfiction has ruined my brain, when Anne started complaining about Milady knowing "bedroom tricks", I half expected Constance to offer to teach her some.

So.... yeah. Constance makes the offer, and Anne accepts.

Aramis attempts to take d'Artagnan under his wing and teach him everything he needs to know about the art of romance.

Something along the lines of "I'll be Constance, you try to win me over." with d'Artagnan trying to convince Aramis/Constance to be with him while Aramis makes scathing but humorous remarks about the delivery and exactly why he wouldn't leave his 'husband' for d'Artagnan. (I have a husband. Think of the children. No, you're too reckless. You look like a puppy. Have you seen your hair?"

Athos and Porthos, meanwhile, are highly amused.

Bonus points if Aramis abruptly gets frustrated with d'Artagnan's lack of finesse and swaps roles ("I'll be you. You're Constance now") and kisses d'Artagnan with absolutely no further warning.

More bonus points if, despite all of this, it's completely Gen.

Further bonus points if Treville walks in on the scene and casually ignores it.

What if during the events of series one episode ten Musketeers don`t die easily.

D`Artagnan had, had to have sex with Milady to prove his loyalty to her.

What if he had been on the cusp of an unexpected heat, and had conceived by her?.

Terrified of raising a baby alone, of having Milady`s baby d`Artagnan is confused, scared, and uncertain of everything except the fact that he wants his baby.

Athos, after an initial "OMG he`s having my Mates baby" freak out, resolves to stand by d`Artagnan and help him through, support both him and the baby.

During the course of the pregnancy their friendship blossoms into romance and the two bond, with Athos prepared to adopt the baby as his own, however Milady`s return brings new difficulties since she can do Maths aswell as anyone else, and knows with the number of weeks d`Artagnan is, that the baby is hers.....

Milady and Athos bond was unusual, but since Athos had a brother who could carry on the family name offspring did`nt matter so much.

Bonus for Athos developing a bit of a pregnancy kink
From: [personal profile] kyele

Can it turn into an unusual triad, where Milady is still a villain and they clash, except every week Athos and d'Art get a letter to read to the baby from her, and sometimes trinkets and baby gear from her travels, and every few weeks or months she comes over unannounced and stays for a day or a week or a month and they don't talk about the past or the future, just love their baby and have lots of sex?

GEN: the advantages of Athos' nobility

Requesting something touching on the fact that Athos has spent most of his life as a noble, preferably focusing on the things that set him apart from his fellow Musketeers (the education he would have received, the connections he would've had, his knowledge of the politics of the upper class, etc.), and how those things help him now in his current position.

Basically, I offer my first born to anyone willing to write me something along the lines of "Five Times the Comte Helped Athos Solve a Crime (and One time Athos Managed Fine on His Own)". Bonus points for writing it in the POV of Aramis, Porthos, or d'Artagnan!

Gen: Cats and the Cardinal

Date: 2015-02-24 06:15 pm (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
I've heard that the real Cardinal Richelieu was a serious cat person. This amuses me entirely too much.

I also think it would be utterly hilarious if d'Artagnan is alone with the Cardinal for whatever reason, attempting to deliver a "The reason you suck" speech in a completely serious way, when suddenly he notices that Richelieu is petting a cat, and there are thirteen more just staring at him.

He winds up completely creeped out by this.

Bonus points of Richelieu realizes the cats are freaking d'Artagnan out and he starts being intentionally creepier just for the fun of it.

So one thing I like about the Musketeers is how three of them will often sit back and watch the fourth one fight, and comment on the fight like it's light entertainment. In The Challenge, they literally ate popcorn while watching Porthos train.

So I'd like a fic where one of them fights against an enemy who has wronged him in some way, and the other three are happy to let him do, thinking he's definitely got it.

but the one fighting shows a weakness (maybe he's hiding an injury? Or the opponent is just a lot better than he thought) and one of the watcher's like 'wait maybe be should help him out' and the others are like 'nah he's got it' and the fighter's like 'NO I DON'T, HELP ME WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU WAITING FOR'

and then they run to help.

... idk I just had this scene in my head.

Basically, instead of making Constance handle it, when Bonacieux finds out about the affair, he acts straight away and challenges d'Artagnan to a fight.

d'Artagnan obviously doesn't want to make Constance a widow, so he puts up minimum defense and essentially just lets Bonacieux beat the hell out of him until Constance winds up begging her husband not to actually kill d'Artagnan.

Bonus points if the 'reason you suck' speech Bonacieux delivers along with the beating goes rapidly between sounding like "I love my wife how could you do this to me" and "mon dieu, don't touch my stuff that's /mine/"

More bonus points if d'Artagnan can barely get up afterward but still attempts to patch himself up as best he can to go to the Challenge, and is actually a little more hesitant when he's called on to fight LaBarge as a result.

MORE bonus points if he still wins, and of course even more for worried Inseparables being amazing and helping him out afterward.

Six episodes into this season and I'm ready to say enough is enough. I was willing to believe Louis is weak-willed; that's historical fact. I was willing to believe he's easily manipulated - more historical fact. Somewhat foolish? Sure. Ignorant? Often. Willfully blind? You betcha.

But we've crossed the line. There is just no way anyone as stupid as Louis is playing would be able to put one foot in front of the other. Episode 6 was a bridge too far. How on earth could Louis possibly attribute his rescue to Rochefort? How could he manage to find reasons to fault Milady, d'Artagnan and, bogglingly, Treville?

I have crossed through the valley of frustration into the mountain of nirvana, becuase it's obvious to me now: Louis is playing Rochefort for a fool.

Give me something on this theme. Anything. Maybe Louis is working with someone else (Milady? Treville? A not-dead Richelieu? All three?) Maybe he's doing it on his own for squeaks and giggles because he thinks the look on Treville's face is hilarious. Maybe it's all ultimately at Anne's behest, she having gotten Rochefort's number from her girlhood in Spain. I don't care. Just SOMETHING that makes this continual stupidity make some kind of sense.

::begging::

Historical evidence Louis XIII could barely put one foot in front of the other, he was an idiot!.

But I know what you`re saying, I could do with something to cheer Series two up aswell, or really just have someone beat the living shit out of Louis cause he is SOOOOO getting on my tits!

What if the whole of series two was a set up to catch Rochefort and expose his alliance with Spain and prevent Spain from gaining the power base in France?.

The Cardinal discovered the deal Rochefort had made, having long suspected the man was not only a psychopath but also a mercenary, and to give Rochefort a way into Power fakes his death and goes into hiding.

The King has Treville demoted, and verbally abuses his Musketeers.

In short they all do everything to seem like Rochefort is wining until it`s time to bring him down once and for all.

Athos/d`Artagnan

Aramis/Porthos

Treville/Richelieu

Bonuses

The Musketeers, King, Queen, and Richelieu meet up in a secret chamber beneath the Louvre where the Cardinal is hiding out.

Louis giggles and laughs about how he has to act before everyone, (Behaves like he did when he was in the tavern finding it all such fun!!!)

Athos and d`Artagnan walk in on Treville and Richelieu doing things they never wanted to see their Captain doing even though they do it themselves regularly!

Porthos giving Aramis a spanking for something!

D`Artagnan ending up wearing a gown and corset!, (It`s just so funny!!!)

Season 2 Spoiler- Marguerite seeks help

From: (Anonymous)

Just because the review on Digital Spy of ep 7 was fantastic but annoyed me with its view of Aramis. Yes, I agree that he is a rather a git for using Marguerite the way he did but I am fairly certain he has no idea she'd fall into Rochefort's clutches. You can't blame him for that. Anyway, my prompt:- Marguerite actually decides to go to Aramis for help rather than play along. This not only tips him off that something bad is going on but also I would like to see Marguerite take charge somewhat... Thank you please

Wholehearted seconding! I'm mystified by Marguerite's passivity. Why doesn't she go to someone for help? Aramis is the obvious choice, or, if she's mad at him, what about the Queen? Or even a Musketeer - it must be obvious by now that they're Rochefort's enemies too.

Anyway - my wibbling aside - I would 100% love to read Marguerite growing a backbone and teaming up with Aramis!

They Musketeers are of course suspicious but at the same time in awe of the two men.

D`Artagnan moves to Pinon shortly before Easter, and opens up a chocolate shop.

Where he serves up to die for confectionery, and offers a ready ear to listen to his customers troubles, and a shoulder to cry on.

The Comte de la Fere is still reeling from his Wife and Brother betraying him and running away together.

While he knows he should be against d`Artagnan opening a chocolate shop during lent he can not resist going into the shop and indulging himself, which also leads to an unexpected romance forming between himself and d`Artagnan.

Aramis, the husband of bar owner Marsac is sick of the abuse he suffers at the cruel mans hands, and between a new friendship with d`Artagnan, and a romance with the River Gypsy Porthos who has come to town, he finds the strength to leave Marsac once and for all.

However things are not all that rosy.

The town Priest Richelieu is condemning d`Artagnan`s shop as heretical, and Marsac is out for revenge, both on Aramis for leaving him, and d`Artagnan for encouraging him to do so.

The time period this is set in is up to the filler

The Musketeers was set in the seventeenth century but Chocolat was mid nineteen fifties,

Plus Treville would make a good Armand perhaps?.

That works amazingly well!

So Porthos is a bad judge of character (apparently, though we've seen little proof of that), we're learning that Aramis is a shit read of facial expressions (or possibly just utterly self involved) and Athos thinks that his decisions will be received as word of god by anyone who listens, having too privileged an upbringing to see other people's perspectives (see also: Catherine).

Basically, they can read each other's thoughts, feelings, lies and plans with barely a glance, but they're hopeless with the rest of mankind.

I'd like to see some situations where they've completely misinterpreted someone else's expression, or body language based on their experience of each other.

Sex in Inappropriate places Multipul pairings

I`d love to see this written.

Considering Aramis having sex with the Queen while under siege aswell as having a rediculas conversation with Athos while fighting I think sex in inappropriate places is something this lot would do!.

Treville and Richelieu

On the lectern in the Church just before Mass!

Treville and Athos

On Treville`s desk just before Muster!

Aramis and Porthos

In the armoury while (Cleaning weapons)

Athos and d`Artagnan

Sleight of Hand tag- Deaf d'Artagnan

What if d'Artagnan had been a little closer to the blast and as a result his hearing was damaged? Temporary or permanent is up to Anon.

Maybe he's too dazed to notice it at first and tries to carry on with stopping Vadim, but then slowly panics more and more when the ringing in his ears just doesn't stop. And of course the Inseparables helping him through, much hurt/comfort involved.

Literally all other particulars are up to Anon so long as there's deaf!d'Artagnan in there somewhere.

Aramis' Crucifix (spoilers for S2)

How does Aramis feel when he finds out his precious crucifix was originally a gift from Rochefort to Anne?

I would be very very happy if this eventually leads to Aramis being the one to put Rochefort out of our misery.

Porthos is convinced that Treville is his father. His friends begin to believe it, listing the similarities between Porthos and the captain.

Oh my god yes

Something, just...anything, in which d'Artagnan is an Omega werewolf and also Ace, things which have become known outside of just the Garrison.

After a few days/weeks of relentless bullying from some Alpha Red Guards, he's left in doubt about his place in the Inseparables' pack. The guards have attempted to convince him there are only so many reasons three Alphas would choose to 'adopt' an Omega.

Already on edge thanks to the guards' comments, a series of misunderstandings cause d'Artagnan to separate from his pack, with the Inseparables uncertain as to why.

It isn't too long before d'Artagnan is cornered somewhere by the Alpha Red Guards, who tell him that, as an Omega, it doesn't matter what he wants and that, since they're Alphas, they're within their rights to take what they want, even if that means using force. He attempts to fight his way out, but is outnumbered and quickly overpowered to the point of being too injured or exhausted to continue fighting.

Cue the Inseparables walking in on it and intervening- violently- and all the ensuing hurt/comfort and brot4 while they get their pup patched up and remind him he's part of their pack no matter what.

Bonus points if Aramis is actually Beta rather than Alpha, and if he in particular is confused by d'Artagnan's being Ace, as that concept just doesn't compute for him, but is very accepting once the initial "I don't believe you, that isn't possible" wears off.

(Yes, I know I'm completely depraved)

Hi, I hope you don't mind me asking but I've only recently started reading one of these sorts of fics for the first time so I still don't completely understand it all yet...what's an Ace?
