Welcome to the BBC The Musketeers kink meme

The lowdown: You post your prompt, anon or not. Someone else will hopefully fill it (also anon or not). Not for profit, just for fun. And in this case, for king and country.

Anon is on, IP logging is off.

Rules:
No wank
No kink-shaming
Be respectful to everyone
The mod is not your babysitter
Use the warnings
No prompts with characters under the age of 16 in sexual situations, please.
Please keep the discussions in the prompt post to a minimum. We have a discussion post

Mandatory trigger warnings/warnings for both prompts and fills:
non-con/dub-con
abuse (physical and mental)
issues such as racism, sexism, homo-/trans-/-bi-/ace-phobia etc
character death
suicide
self-harm
eating disorders
extreme physical or mental illness
substance abuse (alcohol, drugs, medication)
bullying
gore and horror

If this list misses anything, do let me know, though please understand that if absolutely everything is added this list will never end.

You are encouraged and advised to add additional warnings at your own discretion.

Please make use of the subject line.

If your prompt alludes to the book or any of the other adaptations, please let us know which one.

Lastly, prompt freezes (which I have to say I’m really not fond of) etc will be at the mod’s discretion. I will decide on a prompt cut-off point for prompt posts once I know how fast the meme moves.

Announcement: A blanket spoiler warning is necessary for prompts pertaining to season 2. Just season 2 Spoilers in the subject line will do.

Don't read if you haven't seen 3.04 yet!!

Give me something about the others finding out about Aramis growing up in a brothel.
Make him talk(/think) about his time there.
How bad was it for his mother?
How did they end up there?
Did he sometimes have to work there, too?

Up to you how this comes up. Possibly through an "acquaintance" of that time?
From: (Anonymous)
Yes. That episode itself needed so much more resolution anyway.

But yes to this. So much yes.

Spoilers for Series 3 episode 8

Date: 2016-04-25 03:22 am (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
Once to war, Athos seemed to accept Aramis’s absence from their group with more ease than the others, with more ease than made sense to Porthos.

But Athos had figured out something the other two hadn’t yet. With Aramis’s propensity for suicidal missions and his swift willingness to sacrifice himself, Athos knows if Aramis had gone with them, he would not have returned.

After the episode 'Prisoners of War' Porthos comes to this realization as well.

He and Athos talk about it.

At one point during the war, the battles cut off all provisional access to the monastery. The food supplies dwindle to nothing while sickness and starvation take over the inhabitants within. Disobeying orders, Aramis finally leaves on a solo mission to obtain food and supplies.

Four years in a differ war

Date: 2016-04-25 12:21 pm (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
Yes, Aramis did not go to war with our other three, but that doesn't mean he wasn't dealing with it while a monk. Aside from taking care of those children, the abbey but his knowledge of healing to good use while he was a part of it, even expanding his knowledge and skills taking care of the sick and many war wounded. It's one thing to kill a man, it's another to try and put him together, to deal with the ugly misery and butchery of battles and all those innocents affected by the war on both sides.

I'd like a scene where after Aramis is back with the others where D'art and one of the others, makes some comment or something that Aramis doesn't understand them now, doesn't under stand what they went through in war the horror of it. With Aramis calmly responding that yes while he might not have gone to war with them, he has been to battles before, was a soldier long before being a musketeer, and now knows what it's like to have his bloody hands inside screaming and crying soldiers and civilians literally broken by war, mending holes and shoving organs back into body cavities.
How much easer it is to take life, to swing a sword then mend the damages done by it.

Undoubtedly. Aramis' proclamation in 3:1 "We know all about the war here" drives this point home.

(kind of) Royal Aramis AU

Date: 2016-04-26 06:57 pm (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
An AU where Aramis is the Queens half brother, a bastard cild of the King of Spain. So obviously the queen and him never fall in love or slept together and the reason they try to sneak so much time together is because they miss each other as they grew up together.

Q Athos suspecting aramis is in love with her but later finds out Aramis is actually half royalty.

Treville has always known and athos and porthos realise aramis wants to spend time with the dauphin because he is his uncle.

OR

An AU where Aramis is the Queens full brother, Prince if Spain. He visits France to see his sister and Athos and Porthos are tasked with being his bodyguards.

They think they will end up guarding an arrogant spoilt person but the three of them just click really well and in the end Aramis finds a way to become a musketeer himself as royal life has never really appealed to him.

They all have alot of fun to the and get into alot of trouble, setting Treville on edge because aramis is technically royalty.

Athos and Porthos have to guard Aramis

Date: 2016-04-26 07:02 pm (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
Similar to previous prompt, I need athos and porthos to, for whatever reason, be tasked in guarding aramis.

Perhaps he witnesses something and Treville orders his brothers to guard him 24/7.

Aramis always thought his brothers were protective of him by his is different as now they won't even allow women near him. Maybe they enjoy it a little too much.

In the end though Aramis is in a situation where they do actually need to protect him.

Aramis h/c being comforted by Athos and Porthos

Date: 2016-04-30 02:09 pm (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
SEASON 3 SPOILERS

Even after all this time Aramis still suffers from terrifying nightmares. However after knowing his brothers spent 4 years at war he doesn't think he can go to them for comfort anymore. He thinks they must have experienced worse things and is afraid of being turned away.

Somehow Athos and Porthos find out he is still struggling and comfort him. When Aramis explains why he kept it to himself they tell him that their experiences were different because the musketeers in Savoy had no warning and that no matter how much time they spent apart, Aramis would always be able to go to them for anything.

I need all the bed sharing!!! And cuddling!!! And hugs!!!
From: (Anonymous)
As Aramis had canonically been to war before the series started, I think he'd already be aware of the distinction that made Savoy so traumatizing, but I can absolutely see him still having nightmares and being hesitant to think he could still go to his brothers for help with them.

Athos/Grimaud

Fuck or die scenario of some sort, where the two of them end up not actually hating each other.
From: (Anonymous)
Takes place sometime during S3 after Aramis' return and their time in Paris, the others still being a little stand-offish, Porthos still understandably angry and hurt. When the King orders for a Musketeer escort for one his favorite old friends, who's recently returned from a trip abroad (said friend also has very valuable connections and favors from other various monarchs in Europe), Captain Athos decides to send Porthos, d'Art, Aramis and some of their better (though still fairly new) recruits while he stays behind at the garrison.

Aramis is in for a nasty surprise however when he recognizes the King's friend as a unwelcome face from his past, who upon seeing him in turn instantly recognizes him, having been a regular patron to the brothel Aramis and his siblings grew up in. He surprised by the uniform Aramis is wearing, but doesn't particularly care either.

Needless to say Aramis is utterly mortified and it only gets worse when the Lord continually gets 'handsy' when he's around, crooning "Oh Rene' my pretty cat- come here! Oh don't be that way!", "There's my favorite little Spanish whore! Just look at you, so lovely... You and all your siblings look just like your lovely Mother, Ah how I remember those talented lips..."
When the Lord finds out that Aramis spent the war in a abbey he thinks is utterly hilarious, "Another talented gutter-flower lost to a nunnery."

The new recruits either think its funny, just barely keeping their laughter in check or now looking down their nose at the Medic/sharp shooter in disgust. D'art meanwhile is utterly confused and shocked, and Porthos... well Porthos is beyond pissed!

The vitriolic fic that's been appearing on AO3 about the new character Sylvie it's, it's just getting me down.

It's getting me down a lot.

I've only seen three eps so far but she seems nice? She has a pleasant speaking voice. I like the way she dresses - those touches of red are nifty! The little smiles she and Athos send each other are freaking adorable. I want to see her and Aramis getting into labyrinthine debates about theology and her revolutionary ideals. Maybe her and Constance shoot the shit out of some glass bottles and laugh their heads off. Bonding with Porthos over growing up rough? Maybe she just has a good day, where there's both sunshine and showers of rain and she picks up her skirts and jumps in the puddles because she damn well can.

Gen or shippy, no preference for pairing.

Just... something nice.

Please?

I for one, love her. I don't understand the hate. I would read all scenarios that you mentioned.

Greetings all,
My first time ever in the Musketeers kink meme, and I have to start right off the bat with warning for animal cruelty, sorry.

I've only recently got into the BBC series (always catching on when something's cancelled) though I've been a fan of the books for a long time. I've got a strange kink for the historical Richelieu as well, and my reaction to most adaptations is usually "This show needs more cats.". Richelieu had fourteen at one point, sleeping on his bed, pampered by two servants, fed chicken paté, with a playroom next to his study and a cattery in Versailles etc. He made generous provisions for his darlings in his will, and shortly after his death the Swiss Guard killed them all. :-(

Now, Internet being more cat images than porn, will someone write a story where history is changed and Our Heroes save the Cardinal's feline overlords from their fate? Crack is OK as long as the cats survive. (Ludovic le Cruel, the excellent ratcatcher, and his Polish girlfriend Ludoviska would be lovely additions to the Musketeer regiment. Among others.) Please save the kitties.

Someone feel like writing an AU scene in which Treville isn't killed and gets to meet his musketeer grandchildren?
From: [personal profile] anne_falcyn
There have always been those who are gifted.
Those with an ability beyond the norm.
Before the rise of medieval Christianity these people were considered blessed, people sort them out to use their gifts for aid in wars, Medicine, predicting the future, and promoting good harvests.

Then came the belief that all supernatural abilities were evil, charges of Witchcraft and Heresy forcing The Gifted under ground lest they be burned at the stake.

Now The Gifted are little more than a hushed rumor, a dark secret moving in the shadows that nobody day speak of save in a whisper, as the Gifted hide themselves and their gifts even from each other for fear of being discovered.

Yet in the Musketeers garrison four gifted come together each with a unique ability, learning to love and trust each other, perhaps together with their strength combined they will be able to change their world.

Porthos Has the gift of super strength. He can lift the weight of ten men without breaking a sweat, his skin is tougher than a crocodiles hide taking extreme force to be penetrated.

Aramis Has the gift of healing. He can heal all beings, whether they are human or animal from the most grave of wounds of illnesses.

Athos Has the gift of telekinesis, he can move objects with his mind, make fires burn with more intensity, shatter glass, and at full strength shake buildings.

d'Artagnan Has the gift of speed. He can move so fast that at times he becomes a blur and it is not only in running but also in climbing and swimming that he can move with blinding speed.

I've just been watching clips of Santiago Cabrera as the gun-toting Father Vega in "Cristiada". They looked good.

So I request an AU of 3.01 where the war swept over the monastery rather earlier and Aramis and co. have been hiding in the hills, sniping bandits and Spanish soldiers, holding mass in misty woodland glades, cleaning wounds with Communion wine, forgiving their enemies' sins after they're dead...

+ If there's a scene where Athos and Porthos see him melt out of the woods like a heavily armed pixie, a dozen half-feral children at his back.

++ If he has a Moustache of Power and a weapon bandolier.

I love modern AUs where D'artagnan is a programmer/hacker.
But what if he got carpal tunnel syndrome (he started to feel a bit of pain in his hands - the result of too much time spent typing - and sometimes numbness). He woke up aching and went to bed with his fingers on fire.
D'artagnan is afraid to tell his friends about his problem, so he continued to work through the pain.
Of course the others noticed, that something is wrong, but D'artagnan continued to lie about his condition...
