Welcome to the BBC The Musketeers kink meme

The lowdown: You post your prompt, anon or not. Someone else will hopefully fill it (also anon or not). Not for profit, just for fun. And in this case, for king and country.

Anon is on, IP logging is off.

Rules:
No wank
No kink-shaming
Be respectful to everyone
The mod is not your babysitter
Use the warnings

Mandatory trigger warnings/warnings for both prompts and fills:
non-con/dub-con
abuse (physical and mental)
issues such as racism, sexism, homo-/trans-/-bi-/ace-phobia etc
character death
suicide
self-harm
eating disorders
extreme physical or mental illness
substance abuse (alcohol, drugs, medication)
bullying
gore and horror

If this list misses anything, do let me know, though please understand that if absolutely everything is added this list will never end.

You are encouraged and advised to add additional warnings at your own discretion.

Please make use of the subject line.

If your prompt alludes to the book or any of the other adaptations, please let us know which one.

Lastly, prompt freezes (which I have to say I’m really not fond of) etc will be at the mod’s discretion. I will decide on a prompt cut-off point for prompt posts once I know how fast the meme moves.

Rule addition: No more discussions on the prompt post. If you want to discuss something, we have a discussion post. If you want to wank about a prompt, that's not what the discussion post is for. That's what your scroll bar and that little red x in the top corner of your browser is for.

d'Artagnan/Athos or OT4; TW: prostitution

From: (Anonymous)
TW: prostitution

So basically an AU - d'Artagnan is on the heels of his father's killers, but runs out of money. Things happen (fancy way of saying "because reasons" and also "fanfic, so suspend any disbelief you might have been holding onto previously"), and he ends up as a prostitute to support himself.

Really, I'm good with anything from this scenario, but I do think it would be interesting if Athos starts paying for his services, without either of them knowing that he's the one d'Artagnan has been looking for all this time.

I'm cool with d'Artagnan/Athos or OT4, and pretty much everything else.

Pretty pretty please?

Gen; d'Artagnan is broke, the boys feed him

Date: 2014-03-22 03:23 am (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
d'Artagnan is broke and doesn't eat as much as he should. The others find out and keep pressing food on him in their trying-to-be-subtle-but-failing-miserably way because he won't accept charity and is embarrassed by his lack of funds.

Just warm fluffiness!

"Here."

In between one heart beat and the next d'Artagnan finds himself with a brioche in his hands, the bread as warm as if it had been taken straight from the oven. The divine smell causes his stomach to growl so loudly that Aramis and Porthos, though already several steps ahead of him, are bound to have overheard.

Feeling his ears heat up with shame, d'Artagnan nonetheless lengthens his steps until he's walking side by side with his friends.

"What's this?" he demands, holding up the sweet bread. The crust looks almost golden in the early morning sun and he has to swallow down the saliva that fills his mouth. The last time he'd been this ravenous he'd been in the middle of growing several inches. For months it had seemed that no matter how much food his mother put on his plate, his belly never got full.

The memory makes his insides clench with home-sickness in addition to the hunger.

"A brioche?" Aramis answers, the tone of his voice making clear what he thinks of the question.

"The baker's wife has taken a fancy to him," Porthos adds, grinning lazily as he bumps his fist against d'Artagnan's shoulder. "Our poor brother finds himself drowning in baked goods and it's our duty, as his best friends, to help him out."

Here he stops to burp loudly, begging their excuse before stuffing a raisin-studded roll into his mouth.

"Seriously?" d'Artagnan asks, finally giving himself permission to sink his teeth into the brioche. Despite his best intentions, it's gone in a few bites and he's left, if anything, even hungrier. "She's giving you free food?"

"I wouldn't call it free," Aramis answers, handing him yet another brioche. "The way she undresses me with her eyes, I ought to be paid in more than flour and sugar."

"She's no spring chicken," Porthos confides in a mock whisper. Tugging at his moustache he makes a show of searching for the right words before continuing; "Truly, she's more of a... old hen. The kind who's too tough even for the stewing pot."

"Old is the word," Aramis agrees. "And now I have more bread and cakes than any one man, even one blessed with such a good friend as Porthos here, could ever hope to consume."

d'Artagnan bites down hard on his lip, too proud to beg.

"So we asked ourselves," Porthos says, wrapping a giant arm around d'Artagnan's shoulder as he steers him around the corner towards Aramis' place. "Who do we know who's young enough to stuff himself without succumbing to bloating or worse at the end of it?"

Hope does strange things to d'Artagnan and he almost trips on his feet in his attempt to peer up at his friends. It's too much of a coincidence, surely, this sudden abundance of food at a time when d'Artagnan's purse is empty and his cupboards bare. But they look so casual, so carefree and normal that... his father had told him never to look a gift horse in his mouth, so he pushes down on his doubt.

"Me?" he suggests, a grin tugging at his lips as they nod.

Later, he leaves Aramis' place with his belly filled with cake and his heart swelling with fondness.

Aramis/Porthos, clothes sharing

Date: 2014-03-22 03:26 am (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
Aramis and Porthos sharing clothing! Maybe it starts on a long campaign where most of their clothing gets torn and bloodied, and it gets so that they kind of... stop caring which shirt belongs to whom. And then they losing clothing to each other outside of missions without really noticing that it happens. And then other people start to notice for them.

Athos/Aramis/Porthos, semi-public kissing

Date: 2014-03-22 03:37 am (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
So Aramis is addicted to kissing; he loves it, will waste hours in bed kissing Athos and Porthos silly until they're all sleepy with it if they'd let him (they often do). Athos and Porthos enjoy receiving kisses as much as Aramis loves giving them, but it becomes somewhat of an inconvenience when they're on the road and Aramis is sneaking them in between missions, dragging them off to secluded corners and alleys, and generally being a huge test of their self-control/patience.

Athos and Porthos wouldn't mind nearly as much if Aramis wasn't so smugly satisfied about getting away with kissing them in public, either.

Young!d'Artagnan

From: (Anonymous)
*sneaks in*

So... I would really love to see d'Artagnan as a teenager joining - basically same plot, but he's much younger. And Porthos is the older brother who gets overprotective if anyone picks on his kid brother, and Aramis is the middle child who alternates between being overprotective and teasing d'Artagnan, and Athos is the put-upon oldest brother who tries to keep them from destroying everything but still joins in occasionally. Super bonus points for them trying to shoo him away because he's too young and he keeps following them around so they take him in like a stray cat.

The Icon. That's the prompt.
Or this: It's raining, or Aramis had to jump in a river for some reason or whatever. I just want Aramis being wet, with slicked back hair dripping water, clothes hugging his body, (or shirtless), water trickling down his chin... And someone gets majorly turned on by him like that.

Bonus points if there is a dire situation and everything but Porthos/Athos/Whoever just stands there staring at Aramis.
Extra cookies for someone else yelling at them to keep it in their pants and focus.
Of course, later sexy times follow.

Modern France political AU

Date: 2014-03-22 08:16 am (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
Inspired by another prompt. It turns out the Musketeers translates weirdly well into the modern French political structure? Louis as President, Richelieu as Prime Minister. Treville is Minister of the Interior and Athos, Porthos, and Aramis are members of the president's security (structure has changed over the years so you can do what you like--the idea of them being gendarmes and being stuck up towards the "newer" Police Nationale a la their rivalry with the Red Guard is amusing to me though). D'Artagnan, Constance, and Milady are basically the same, just in modern versions.

I'd love to see any of the canon plotlines played out in this universe (though I also have a weakness for Aramis/Porthos in an open relationship).

Apologies if this has been asked before, and also for the slight wall o'text.

So, yeah, you can blame this entirely on the fact that I really love Blowin' Smoke by Kacey Musgraves: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JEsEUpk5rU8

IDK, the idea just took up residence in my brain and won't leave me alone. Maybe Louis owns the place. Treville is the long-suffering manager who's convinced his staff actually run the place. Porthos cooks, Aramis is the waiter who flirts with everyone and their mother. Athos is the head waiter who actually runs things and keeps Treville's blood pressure down. d'Artagnan is...IDFK, he's the new guy who gets roped into being a busboy because they need one OMGNAO.

And feel free to shuffle people around if you're so inclined, this is just how it sprang to life in my head. And if you do want to go the pairings route, this anon is partial to Athos/d'Artagnan, but would never ever say no to some OT4. :D

Well I am sorting out a gym!AU with Aramis as the yoga teacher, and basically the gym owner, Treville, ropes Athos and Porthos to bring the numbers up, and basically Porthos isn't the best but has the balance so Aramis has to keep moving his limbs to get the moves right. It is basically the basis for the first chapter and later chapters will include later Aramis/Porthos.
I need to actually write and get ideas sorted and then I should be uploading it; but I guess it isn't a proper fill and more the same bases; but I'll link when I finished because you may like it.

Aramis/Porthos Outside POV

More Wine, 1/7; Aramis/Porthos

Date: 2014-03-23 02:04 am (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
She had seen them before, of course, when her father had customers shouting for more wine and the latest serving girl disappeared without even a by-your-leave. She had tied the apron around her waist briskly and waded in, every bit her father’s daughter. They came in often, sometimes in uniform, sometimes in casual clothing. There was the brooding, handsome one with the eyes that coolly surveyed the room as if he were searching for someone in the wash of faces, the playful one with the easy grin and lean build, and the broad one whose hands spoke of a rough life but who was always polite to her when they called for another round. Eventually a new one joined, little more than a boy, slender with dark hair and hungry eyes. He often sat with them as if he couldn’t believe that he was there, basking in their company like a cat in a sunbeam. She wondered, sometimes, about their stories, but a rowdy voice would raise above the others, calling, “Mademoiselle! More wine!” and any fanciful wonderings disappeared in the hubbub of the inn’s dining room. Still, as she refilled a glass behind the bar, she watched them from the corner of her eye, searching for something, though she wasn’t quite sure what.

Aramis/Constance bromance, gen

Date: 2014-03-22 05:05 pm (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
What we need is some platonic Aramis/Constance, yes? I mean, there is so much potential! Aramis clearly admires Constance and her skills with swords, and Constance seems fond of him, too. What I would love is to have something cute and sweet with them! Like they would have this super-close friendship going on with Aramis teaching her some more fighting skill, gossiping a lot, sewing ripped clothing up together etc etc. what have you.

Like, I would love it to be completely platonic, but maybe they share some kisses from time to time and be comfortable with each other. And maybe some other people get a wrong idea, and Athos and Porthos just raise their eyebrows a lot. d'Artagnan is just super jealous and worried (and maybe together with Constance? We can pretend that their conflict ended happily!) even when he tries not to be.

Eternally happy if someone feels like writing this! : )

Aramis gets knocked up. Sadly he has no idea who is the father, because he was so drunk that time, he can't remember a thing. Especially whom he spend the night.

He panics and because he has no better idea he lies that the baby's father is Athos... who was also dead drunk that night.

It's up to anon how all these things work out. I quess there would be a lot of denial, and reluctant Athos. I just want happy ending.

So what if d'Artagnan had actually been killed alongside his father at the Inn- only to wake up the next day in his own shallow grave. Now, with a crow as his guide, d'Artagnan sets out to avenge his father and himself on the men who killed them. Somewhere along the way though, he finds himself pulled into a bigger crusade, one seeking to protect all of France and right any wrongs that seek to cause its people harm. Thankfully it's a fight he isn't having to face alone...

D'Artangans upbringing was hard, little actions come through in his everyday life with the three others, like hoarding food, constant edginess and flinching around others when they get angry, always seeming like he was getting ready to be gotten rid of, maybe something in the way he sleeps. Anyway the others notice this and start o try and conter these things, like letting him have first pick of the food and stuff like that.

Eventually it come out about his past and they try and make sure he never feels that way again

I'd like it if he's not attracted to the person in question, but he doesn't see a problem in selling himself to assist his friends. Maybe they've been captured and one of the others is hurt, and he notices one of the guards looking at him, so he supplies them with sexual favours in return for medical supplies. Or perhaps they need info. and he uses someone's interest in him to secure what they need. I just want Aramis whoring himself out for the good of the cause and his friends' reactions to it.

So apparently Gascony was famous for its good food and good living, and, seeing as how d'Artagnan comes from a noble family living on farmland, he must've enjoyed fantastic cuisine before he came to Paris. Can I have a fic of d'Artagnan really enjoying cooking really good meals for the others, and the others being surprised by how much they like his food? Maybe he hides his skills at first to avoid getting teased for doing "women's work"? I just want to see d'Artagnan relaxing on his down time by cooking for himself and his friends.

Uh, not a true warning, but let's just say I wouldn't read this if you're vegetarian. And I couldn't write about Gascony cuisine without mentioning foie gras, but if you're worried, I do not go into detail - it's more a comedy section that mentions foie gras. I happen to love to cook, however, so... enjoy!

1. Garbure

Paris was a lady in lace and silk skirts, twirling around the dance floor, laughing but never caught. Those that chased her found their arms full of air and the sweet scent of perfume lingering around them. d’Artagnan was by no means a rube; his father had taken him on trips across France, even to Paris before, and he always was delighted by the shops and people, the narrow, crowded streets, and the hundred dramas that played out daily by the players of France’s jewel. His first day of true freedom, freedom from the burden of his father’s death, freedom from the overwhelming grief that left him clutching his chest for breath, and freedom from the duties attendant with becoming an honorary Musketeer, he found himself wandering aimlessly through the city. The sounds of children running past, screaming with delight, grocers shouting their wares in voices that carried, harried housewives gossiping on the street corners filled his ears. Gascony was quiet, for the most part, he thought, at least compared to the ever-present din of Paris. There were places he could go to curl up and listen, unlike here, where the noises sometimes kept him up at night.

A smell wafted past him and on impulse he followed it to a modest grocer’s stall tucked away down one of the market streets.

Bon jour,” he greeted her warmly, unsurprised when she grunted at him in reply.

Another difference between Paris and his home, he thought, then shook himself. His first day of freedom and he felt a pang of homesickness so strong he could taste it thick at the back of his throat. The vendor was giving him a hostile look, and he bent to examine the crates of vegetables lined in neat rows around her. He picked out a leek, earthy and green, a Spanish onion so pungent he could smell it through the paper skin, and some carrots. The woman accepted the coins without looking at him.

A vendor farther down had duck, and another sold him a clove of garlic and fresh-picked thyme, its delicate leaves tearing free from the stem under his ungentle touch. He could raid Constance’s larder for the other ingredients he needed.

The homesickness taste was drowned out by the memory of his mother’s garbure, warm and thick on cold nights in Gascony. Paris might be a lady, but Gascony was a mother.

D'Artagnon as a recent victor of a past Hunger Games, who was under the mentorship of Milady. Maybe the three inseparables are soldiers hailing from District 13.

Constance however is definitely the girl on fire.

Aramis/Porthos Porthos denying himself

For some reason Porthos denies himself sex with Aramis so Aramis seduces him by like climbing on top of him and just getting himself off or something while Porthos is left clutching the sheets and gritting his teeth.

Now I'm imagining a thorny, pocket-sized Aramis climbing his way up Porthos' legs to get to the promised land in his pants...

+1 on OP's actual prompt
