Welcome to the BBC The Musketeers kink meme

The lowdown: You post your prompt, anon or not. Someone else will hopefully fill it (also anon or not). Not for profit, just for fun. And in this case, for king and country.

Anon is on, IP logging is off.

Rules:
No wank
No kink-shaming
Be respectful to everyone
The mod is not your babysitter
Use the warnings

Mandatory trigger warnings/warnings for both prompts and fills:
non-con/dub-con
abuse (physical and mental)
issues such as racism, sexism, homo-/trans-/-bi-/ace-phobia etc
character death
suicide
self-harm
eating disorders
extreme physical or mental illness
substance abuse (alcohol, drugs, medication)
bullying
gore and horror

If this list misses anything, do let me know, though please understand that if absolutely everything is added this list will never end.

You are encouraged and advised to add additional warnings at your own discretion.

Please make use of the subject line.

If your prompt alludes to the book or any of the other adaptations, please let us know which one.

Lastly, prompt freezes (which I have to say I’m really not fond of) etc will be at the mod’s discretion. I will decide on a prompt cut-off point for prompt posts once I know how fast the meme moves.

Rule addition: No more discussions on the prompt post. If you want to discuss something, we have a discussion post. If you want to wank about a prompt, that's not what the discussion post is for. That's what your scroll bar and that little red x in the top corner of your browser is for.

After seeing Cardinal Richelieu carried to his room, I feel the need for fic where one of our musketeers (or Constance; she's one of the bros) has to be carried after he's incapacitated. 5+1 fic would be great, or anything, really. Just people being carried around, really.

You know how d'Artagnan passed out in the first ep whilst walking away from Constance?

Give me five times he fainted at inopportune moments, and one time he did it on purpose (or one time it saved the day).

d'Artagnan/Constance or Gen, h/c

From: (Anonymous)
Constance is on her period and feels horrible (cramps, nausea, fatigue, etc). Bonacieux is squicked out and disappears for the day. d'Artagnan is all 'dude, farm boy. I am used to biology yo' and brings her soup and tea and blankets and just tries to make her feel less awful.

Transgender d'Artagnan

Date: 2014-03-26 02:46 am (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
So, we've had a prompt for girl!d'Artagnan, but I'd love to see d'Artagnan not just dressing up as a boy to have more freedom, escape society's expectations, etc. but because he is a boy - despite society not really understanding that at the time.

His father was cool with it because he always wanted a son and because it's fic and people are marvelously more understanding in fic than real life.

The others find out that he's biologically female - up to the author how they react. Maybe they start treating him differently and he has to lay the smack-down on them? Maybe they're cool with it, as long as he can fight?

Happy ending, please, though I don't mind angst along the way (being transgender in today's society is hard enough; I can't even imagine what it was like back then).

No pairing or any pairing is fine.

sub!Athos/Porthos/Aramis

Date: 2014-03-26 03:26 am (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
Ohhhhhhh I just read 'Complementary' by breathtaken (/works/1334695 on AO3) and I'm totally smitten with sub!Athos
I'd like to see some more, during his time with the Musketeers. Maybe they're in a relationship, maybe they're the only ones he can trust- but Athos gets into desperate moods sometimes and needs to be brought down to come out of it.

Just something lovely where Athos has a little freak-out and his friends take care of him. :3

d'Artagnan/Athos, Pretty Woman au

Date: 2014-03-26 03:31 am (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
Except instead of turning d'Artagnan into a high society woman (though that would be an interesting fic), he decides to turn him into a Musketeer.

Love forever if d'Artagnan is rough around the edges and Aramis and Porthos have to give lessons in etiquette.

Feavered Athos, H/C, OT4 pre-slash.

Date: 2014-03-26 05:10 am (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
Athos is sick or has been poisoned and the other three musketeers look after him. Somehow there is 4 in a bed cuddles (I don't know how they all fit, perhaps it's a big bed or they are in a pile on the floor in front of the fire). Looking for oodles of hurt/comfort. Pre-slash can go up to and including kissing but no further.
Bonus points for Athos feinting on duty.

5 + 1 with crying Aramis

Date: 2014-03-26 05:39 am (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
Five times Aramis cried -- for silly or at least non-tragic reasons -- in front of his friends and one time he wouldn't cry at all even though he should have.

Not talking full on hysterics here, but a few drops of man-pain, quickly scrubbed away, and maybe a few sniffles. I want an Aramis who is easily moved by beauty like song and poetry but then, bam, when it all gets too much he's all stone-faced with dry eyes.

The Musketeers in other fandoms

Date: 2014-03-26 06:17 am (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
Just a fun one - what would the Musketeers look like in other fandoms?

Is Athos the captain of a spaceship full of oddballs, dodging an evil government and snarking in French to his loyal companions?

Or is Aramis solving crimes through the power of deduction with his loyal friend, Porthos?

Maybe d'Artagnan is shadowed by a large, deaf wolf and an annoying ghost as he tracks down his father's killer? (Credit to nonnie here: http://bbcmusketeerskink.dreamwidth.org/774.html?thread=472582#cmt472582)

As cracky and light-hearted as you want it!

You know, I bet Porthos would be the detective! He's the one who figures out the spanish coinage, and the plot against Athos, and he's the one who figures out Bonnaire too. And Aramis is perfect as the best friend who does the doctoring, with an experience of women over multiple continents. XD

Postcoital nonsenses

Date: 2014-03-26 06:23 am (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
Inspired by my husband and his propensity for weird-as-hell postcoital conversations (there is a time and place for WWII factoids about troop movements on the eastern front - this is probably not it) - give me postcoital glowy nonsense. D'Artagnan telling Constance about the vagaries of musket technology, Ninon describing the movements of the solar system to a bemused Athos, Porthos on the finer points of sea battles to a blessed-out Aramis - any paring is good, just give me loving cuteness.

D'Artagnan + The two Louis Kings

Date: 2014-03-26 09:54 am (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
In pretty much every adaptation, D'Artagnan and the King have been complete bros, but in real life, D'Artagnan was pretty much King Louis XIV's best friend. He looked after him the king's whole life, dedicated and loyal.

The King even became godparent to D'Artagnan's sons after D'Art's death.

I want to see D'Artagnan becoming friends with Louis, being assigned personal guard to the newborn prince when he's born and his 'adventures' being the young prince's guard come babysitter.

- At some point D'Artagnan is left alone with the baby prince and has to pull an Aramis and sing to him to get him to sleep
- Little Louis XIV's takes to grabbing a piece of D'Artagnan's hair and declaring 'Mine!'. Its a habit he doesn't grow out of until he's in his teens much to D'Artagnan's disapproval and Athos/Aramis/Porthos' amusement
- At some point everyone is standing guard waiting for the arrival of a noble in the heat etc. getting very bored, and then suddenly a toddler runs past with three maids and D'Artagnan legging it after him. (Bonus if the king thinks its hilarious, and Porthos is laughing before even the king is)

Porthos and Aramis during lent

Date: 2014-03-26 11:07 am (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
Porthos hates lent.

He spent his entire childhood half-starved. The very concept of people voluntarily going without sufficient food for the sake of a God who, in his experience, doesn't care for penniless mothers or starving orphans upsets him.

Aramis on the other hand is pretty devout.

How do they handle it?

Aramis: Cool in the face of danger

Date: 2014-03-26 03:21 pm (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
Don't know if anyone else has noticed but Aramis doesn't tend to flinch at gun fire. He didn't go to move when d'Artagnan sent the knife flying by him in ep1 or react when Porthos put the gun to his neck and he even allows the melon trick to happen. So basically, I'd like a fic that acknowledges his ability to just stay cool. Maybe that's how he gained the respect of the others who originally could have thought him as something of a fop. Maybe d'Artagnan mischieviously decides he wants to try and find the thing that makes Aramis loose his cool but it backfires. Maybe both.

Athos/Aramis, jealousy, rough sex

Date: 2014-03-26 08:50 pm (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)

What if: after Athos found Aramis and the Queen together in the bed, he just gets incredibly jealous.

Maybe he had feelings for Aramis for a long long time, but always managed to deny them even to himself.

But this was just the last straw. He just can't stand it anymore, so he just drives Aramis against a wall and has his way with him.

And of course Aramis is absolutely willing.

I want rough sex, with the excitement of a semi-public place.

gen or d'artagnan/athos, musketeers h/c

Date: 2014-03-26 08:52 pm (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
set before d'artagnan is made a musketeer: not all the other musketeers think d'artagnan is worthy to be a part of them - there is one (or a group) who treat him very badly. they bully him and hurt him, and maybe even sexually assault him. they tell him, that if he wants to be a musketeer, he should do as they say and take what they're doing to him.

one or all of our three musketeers (and treville, if you can work him into the story) find out what's going on & get furiously protective over d'artagnan.

+ i don't need d'artagnan to be a total woobie, maybe he's pretty good at fighting them off at first & although he's (emotionally) hurt he doesn't think he needs any help. but at one point he's just in over his head...

Aramis' scars

Date: 2014-03-26 09:02 pm (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
I hope this isn't too similar to the other scar related prompts!

I've been freeze framing the last ep. and Aramis appears to have at least one, if not two, major scars on his back. He is stood in dappled sunlight, but they're the pinkish-brown of his others, rather than shadow-like. One is particularly wicked looking; curving down from above his right armpit to under his shoulder blade. Also, this may just be my hopeful imagination, but they appear to be slightly raised and weal-like. Can I please have a back story for these scars. Angst and h/c very welcome! (If self inflicted, maybe Porthos and Athos are aware, if not approving, but d'Artagnan isn't and he notices blood seeping through Aramis' shirt one evening and it completely thrown by the discovery.)

in an odd semi-naked!Aramis based co-incidence, I just screen-capped that exact shot, if anyone would like a reference pic...for science.

Aramis/Athos/Porthos, BDSM.

Date: 2014-03-26 09:38 pm (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
Following the developing headcanon that is Subbiest Sub Athos - Aramis takes him apart (mentally, physically, emotionally), and Porthos puts him back together again. Or the other way around. It's a good night for the OT3.

I'm more invested in the emotional impact of BDSM, vs the traditional whips 'n' chains trappings, but I am entirely supportive of any set dressings that anon!auth wishes to employ :D
