Welcome to the BBC The Musketeers kink meme

The lowdown: You post your prompt, anon or not. Someone else will hopefully fill it (also anon or not). Not for profit, just for fun. And in this case, for king and country.

Anon is on, IP logging is off.

Rules:
No wank
No kink-shaming
Be respectful to everyone
The mod is not your babysitter
Use the warnings

Mandatory trigger warnings/warnings for both prompts and fills:
non-con/dub-con
abuse (physical and mental)
issues such as racism, sexism, homo-/trans-/-bi-/ace-phobia etc
character death
suicide
self-harm
eating disorders
extreme physical or mental illness
substance abuse (alcohol, drugs, medication)
bullying
gore and horror

If this list misses anything, do let me know, though please understand that if absolutely everything is added this list will never end.

You are encouraged and advised to add additional warnings at your own discretion.

Please make use of the subject line.

If your prompt alludes to the book or any of the other adaptations, please let us know which one.

Lastly, prompt freezes (which I have to say I’m really not fond of) etc will be at the mod’s discretion. I will decide on a prompt cut-off point for prompt posts once I know how fast the meme moves.

Rule addition: No more discussions on the prompt post. If you want to discuss something, we have a discussion post. If you want to wank about a prompt, that's not what the discussion post is for. That's what your scroll bar and that little red x in the top corner of your browser is for.

Unrequited!Athos/d'Artagnan, TW: character death

Date: 2014-03-30 10:00 pm (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
Athos never thought he'd love again after the debacle with his wife. He'd resigned himself to a life devoid of romance, and took comfort in the friendship of Aramis and Porthos.

Then d'Artagnan came to Paris.

It didn't take too long for Athos to notice that he was falling in love - but, as time went on, he was helpless to stop his affections deepening. But d'Artagnan is heterosexual, and in love with Constance (and she with him).

And then Constance is kidnapped, and used as bait.

In the battle to save her, the Musketeers are severely outnumbered and, while they are easily holding their own, they are unable to come to Constance's aid when a man is just about to kill her. Athos sees a small opening, allowing him to intercept the bullet/sword - with his own body. He takes it.

So basically, Athos dies to save Constance, because she can make d'Artagnan happy.

That's really sad :'(

Spoilers for episode 10. I'm a sucker for angst and guilt so I would like to see Athos accidentally shooting d'Art worse than he did and have his condition be critical (but preferably not die) and to see them still try and keep to the plan but Athos keeps sneaking into d'Arts room to check on him and constantly apologise. As I said, can be either gen or slash. Hopefully this makes sense

Aramis was that child in the class

Date: 2014-03-30 11:46 pm (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
Just because I loved the way the despairing gaze by Treville was held more on Aramis than Porthos (who it turns out is the crier!? Just finished my fic on Aramis crying there, Porthos. Cheers!) when they kept butting in; I'd love a five times Aramis does something which makes Treville think 'he is one of my soldiers!?' and one time he witnesses Aramis at his very soldiering best.

Note the 5 things don't have to be bad, just silly and I would preferably like the others involved.

This definitely! I've noticed at some other points in the eps that when Treville does look annoyed or exasperated, it's often directed at Aramis ;)

Aramis/Porthos, babies

Date: 2014-03-31 12:15 am (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
Aramis realizes he really wishes he could have a baby with Porthos, which he stupidly says in a post-coital haze.

Porthos starts out 'wtf' and ends up 'we'd have two girls and two boys and they'd all have dark eyes and your nose...'

Basically, snuggling and planning the family they could never have.

Athos/Treville; possible OT3; character death

From: (Anonymous)
Porthos or Aramis (or both) are very much in love with Athos, but the Captain got there first.

Life goes on, until a mission goes wrong (or something) and Treville is killed.

Athos is heartbroken and Aramis/Porthos are conflicted and guilt-ridden.

Is a happy ending possible? Either way, break my heart anon.

any/any, treville is a shipper

Date: 2014-03-31 01:08 am (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
treville secretly ships his men. coincidentally his office is also the perfect spot for overseeing (it's overseeing and totally not spying on) his musketeer's shenanigans.

+ the day d'artagnan starts hanging around the garrison is possibly the best day ever, because he's so VERY shippable
++ he likes to make the guys he ships go on missions together & anxiously awaits their reports
+++ he writes fic and totally doesn't let richelieu read them so that, in exchange, he can read the kinky things the cardinal's written

The three find out some way that d'artangan is a vampire. Maybe they see him drinking from someone. Or he heals quickly after a seemingly mortal wound. Or they question as to why he eats so very little.

I want a positive reaction from the musketeers. Maybe the cardinal finds out and tries to have d'artangan dealt with and they end up having to feed him while captured.

Later we see the speed and true blood lust of a vampire as d'Artangan no longer needs to hide who he is.

Would like it if he is from a royal vampire family. (go au if needed)
From: (Anonymous)
((Crossed over a bit with 'Vampire: the Masquerade' because I like the Prince concept.))

1. Porthos

Porthos grunted as the mad man he and d’Artagnan had been hunting throughout Paris (and out of the city herself) slammed into him, driving him to the stable floor. He grappled as best he could with the man, wincing at the way he was biting and how his teeth seemed...longer than they should be.

He was surprisingly strong as well, though not nearly as strong as Porthos, it was a near thing. He grunted as the mad man lunged again, trying to bite into his neck (and hissing about "Just a quick bite!") when suddenly there was an animalistic snarl of, "Get off!", and the mad man was gone.

Porthos sat up immediately and stilled upon seeing d’Artagnan had the mad man by the throat and was holding him up. The man struggled, whining, but that wasn’t why Porthos stilled.

Well, not entirely why.

What had him stilling was the fangs that d’Artagnan was showing off, the fact his nails had lengthened, and the way his eyes were practically an animal’s. “What did I tell you about hunting the Musketeers?” d’Artagnan snarled and the man trembled.

“Hungry,” the man whined and Porthos jumped when d’Artagnan threw him and in a blink’s time, just appeared in time to catch the man and throw him again.

Another blink and he was holding the man by the throat once more. “That’s not my fault, now it is? No, it is not. It is yours! Ever since I told you that you had to find better feeding grounds, you’ve been dragging your feet and now…now I have to turn you over to the Prince,” he growled and there was a tightening and the man…

The man should be dead, but instead his scrabbling at d’Artagnan’s hand, whimpering and begging. But d’Artagnan merely smiles, and it is not kind.

No, it is the smile of someone who is not going to be kind, to put it lightly. “It is not me you should be begging mercy from,” he stated and he dropped him to the ground.

“They’re waiting outside. I highly suggest you leave because I take matters into my own hands,” d’Artagnan warned the mad man (vampire?) took off.

Porthos watched him for a moment, saw the way he was still tense, still not entirely…d’Artagnan.

“d’Art?” Porthos questioned and the man (the vampire) looked over at him.

“You all right?” d’Artagnan asked softly, fingernails returning to normal as he walks over to Porthos, hands reaching up to touch, flinching back slightly when he seems to realize Porthos was watching.

Porthos presses his face into the hand, which has the fangs retracting as his face softens into concern he always has when he thinks he’s almost lost them. His eyes are still that freaky golden color though, that dangerous liquid light of a predator and Porthos reaches up to place his hands against d’Artagnan’s neck, now understanding why he’s never felt a soft pulse under his palms when he has done this previously.

“Hey, I’m all right,” Porthos soothed and d’Artagnan immediately collapsed against his chest, clinging to him as tight as he ever has.

“I was so worried, he was suddenly there, and…and I thought he bite you and…no one is allowed to do that without your permission, we need that or we become…” he whispered and Porthos pulled him close.

“I’m all right, I’m here. Didn’t even get close with those fangs of his,” he soothed, massaging lightly along the back of d’Artagnan’s neck.

When he pulls away, carefully looking down at d’Artagnan, his eyes are normal and there is no trace of what he had revealed. Porthos smiles as he brushes a hand along d’Artagnan’s cheek and d’Artagnan leaned into it.

“How long have you been a vampire?” Porthos asked and d’Artagnan laughed weakly before he turned so his back was against Porthos’s chest.

“A long time,” d’Artagnan whispered softly and there was the weight of time behind it that Porthos didn’t press for the number of years, instead wrapping his arms as tight as he could around d’Artagnan and pulling him close.

“Were you ever going to tell us?” Porthos asked.

“Most would not take it as well as you are,” d’Artagnan answered softly, leaning his head back to rest against Porthos’s shoulder.

“That’s a no then,” Porthos murmured and d’Artagnan merely nodded.

“Whose been feeding you then?” he asked.

“Constance. Her family is like the d’Artagnan Family, though less involved. She knew who I was immediately, of course, and offered to be my “caretaker”,” he answered and Porthos frowned.

“Well…I wouldn’t mind. Every once in a while at least,” he muttered and d’Artagnan hummed a little.

“I’ll keep that in mind the next time I am in need of a meal,” he answered calmly and Porthos pulled him closer, ignoring the fact they were in a stable, a stable that hadn’t been used in a while actually.

He did not ask about what happened to the other vampire, and d’Artagnan did not offer.

And there they stayed until they could hear Aramis and Athos calling for them.

“I won’t tell them, but you’ll have to, soon. For Aramis, however, I might need to be there,” Porthos answered and d’Artagnan nodded before he left the stable, morphing before Porthos into a young farm boy from Gascony.

Porthos chuckled and shook his head before he followed the vampire out.

Well, at least that explained the lack of food he ate.

In the beginning of Episode 4 I was pretty impressed with how bloody *fast* d'Artagnan ran to catch the assassin. That boy was burning some serious boot leather! Hence this prompt-5 times d'Artagnan ran to save someone's life (because horses weren't an option for whatever reasons). I have no preferences in regards to pairings; friendship is also good. And it would be neat if it wasn't just limited to the musketeers or Constance. For example maybe as a youngster in Gascony d'Artagnan had to run to fetch a midwife or something?

Bonus points for 1 time someone ran to save d'Artagnan's life. :)

OT3- Athos' Funeral Upsets His Friends

From: (Anonymous)
Slight alteration on the finale-

A tail tells the Musketeers that Milady is, in fact, watching Athos' "funeral" from a hidden location. With this confirmation, they take the job of eulogizing him a little more seriously. In fact, the concept of actually losing Athos hits home a little, and when they depart, Aramis and Porthos both find themselves desperately in need of some physical contact with Athos, just to drive the image of his burial out of their heads.

Athos comforts them as needed.

A mission goes wrong, and Porthos loses his memories as a result. Maybe he reverts back to his Court days or remains as he is, just with parts of his memories missing. Or maybe he just specifically forgets about his partner(s).

How would Porthos react to the other Musketeers? How would his partner(s) and the other Musketeers react? How would they try to help Porthos get his memories back?

As it says in the title, any pairing with Porthos and the Musketeers is welcome, including Athos/Porthos, Aramis/Porthos, OT3, and OT4.

From: (Anonymous)
We've now had Milady basically hitting on Constance twice. Pleeeease someone show me bisexual Milady.

Maybe it's something she hasn't acted on since marrying Athos and becoming too high status to risk it.
Maybe she taunts Athos by flirting with women in front of him.
Maybe she's been 'comforting' Charlotte the whole time her father was in the Bastille.
Maybe she killed Thomas because he found out.

I LOVE this idea, and everything about it. I think the show has wasted an opportunity by making her and Constance's relationship so predictably one-note, despite teasing something more complicated by - as you say - having Milady weirdly flirt with her. I love the idea of Milady using her overt sexuality with men AND women.

From: (Anonymous)
[FINALE SPOILERS] So, during the funeral, once Aramis and Porthos are chatting and Porthos is being adorable, Treville is still eulogizing in the background. From what I could make out, he says "None of us could save him [Athos] from the demon that drove him..."

The demon - drink? Milady? Whatever or whichever, I'd love me some heavy duty OT3/4+Treville observing of Athos's demons, and their struggle to save him. Darker the better! Gen or slash, anything's fine.

Constance rescues herself

From: (Anonymous)
Much as I enjoyed the boys' epic fight scene, I want something different. Constance knows how to fight, let's see her flirting with her captors and stealing their weapons. Hiding behind doorways and knocking out Milady with a brick. Show me the Musketeers arriving to save her just as she walks out of the cellar, her kidnappers tied up or dead, emphatically not a damsel in distress.

Constance slapping Aramis...

From: (Anonymous)
I'm re-watching past episodes and I just have a craving for something where Constance slaps Aramis hard for whatever reason, and either he slips and looses his balance and genuinely hurts himself, or he's been wounded and she's unaware of it until he collapses after she's slapped him. I

'd like her to be OMG and then taking care of him. I'm looking for friendship between them, rather than romantic love. I just think they'd make good friends.

FILL: Slapdown 1/2

Date: 2014-04-02 02:38 pm (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
When she arrives at the garrison intent on agreeing a price for a new order of blue riding cloaks, she is preoccupied with ensuring that she isn’t about to run into d’Artagnan. The last she heard, the young man who has her heart was accompanying the king on a journey expected to last several days, but she could do without yet another fraught and awkward encounter.

However, the only one of the usual reprobates to be seen is Aramis, who is lounging on one of the benches, hands for once not busy cleaning or fixing equipment.

“Good afternoon Madame Bonacieux,” he addresses her, standing up and touching his hat. “Thass a ve’y nice dress you’re wearing.”

Is the man drunk? It’s barely past midday and he’s slurring his speech already. His glassy unfocused stare comes to rest on the neckline of her new outfit.

“Is it supposed to do that? ‘s kind of wonky.” His hand traces a complicated shape in the air between them. She knows he’s not actually about to paw her breast -- even three sheets to the wind Aramis wouldn't be that crass - but she slaps him anyway, on general principle. And because it’s what they usually do.

He doesn’t usually crumple to the ground at her feet.

“O ha ha Aramis. Little Constance Bonacieux can really pack a punch. I can tell you’re faking. It isn’t funny.”

“No it bloody well isn’t funny,” Porthos snarls, practically flinging her out of the way as he runs up. “What did you go and do that for?” He kneels beside his fallen comrade, pulling the unconscious man’s head onto his lap. Aramis’ face is utterly drained of colour, a crease of pain in the centre of his forehead. Oh God, he really isn’t faking.

“He said… He was…” she flounders.

“Couldn’t you tell he was injured?” That’s Athos, who has appeared from nowhere. She would have sworn he wasn’t even in the yard a moment ago. “We brought in a gang of ruffians this morning, but not before one of them took a bloody great kosh to the back of Aramis’ head.”

“Then what were you doing leaving him alone, you idiots!”

“We were reporting to the Captain! We didn’t expect anyone to turn up and smack him in the face!”

They’re shouting but she knows it’s more from fear than anger on both their parts. A blow to the head is always a dangerous business and slurred speech is a profoundly worrying sign in a sober man.

“Stop yelling please, my head hurts.” The voice from the ground silences them instantly. Constance sees the relief wash over Athos’ features as Aramis accurately counts the fingers that Porthos is waving in his face. He still looks horribly pale though and clearly has to rely on a supporting arm as he struggles to his feet.

“Is there anything I can do to help?” she asks.

Athos is already back to glaring at her as if she were actually the villain with the kosh, but he finally relents.

“Have you anything that might help a headache? I know you ladies have scents and lotions for that kind of thing.”

She nods.

“Good, bring them to his rooms. We’ll meet you there.”

Richelieu/Louis or Louis/Treville- Soul bond AU

Date: 2014-03-31 02:17 pm (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
- your soul mate's first name is on your hand
- only after skin to skin touch you know that's really your soul mate. And it's etiquette to conceal your soul mark.
King Louis was born with only letter 'a', after that is unrecognizable smudge.
When Louis married Anne, he found himself less longing for his soul mate.
So Louis thought Anne was suppose to be his soul mate but because he was born with uncompleted soul mark they had fail to bond.
Not realizing around time of his wedding Richelieu start to work more closed to King. (Louis married pretty early)
Richelieu suspect Louis as his soul mate, but he never confront King
Because Marie de' Medici was still reagent. And if Richelieu is turn out to be King's soul mate, she would kill Richelieu than give up the her power.
And years later even after Marie de' Medici lost power King never look for him, Richelieu start to give up hope and slowly fading away.
(Or Richelieu know king is his soul mate because he secretly touched Louis but because Louis never look for Richelieu so think Louis reject him, but Louis didn't know it because Louis was too young)
Until one day some reason Richelieu is seriously injured or poisoned, panicked!Louis touched Richelieu with bare hand, and found his own soul mark turn to 'armand' as Richelieu's first name. What would happen now ?
Or instead of Richelieu/Louis, you could go with Louis/Treville.
Not have to go with exactly this plot but give me some one side soul mate angst, h/c and happy ending.

sorry, spelling mistake - op

the conflicted relationship that Aramis have with both of them (even if in the end he'll always stand on Treville side) and the way he runs them when they need it...

I'm not sure how to get there, but-

The Musketeers (or at least one of them- I like Athos) are captured or something and end up in an illegal underground fighting ring. It's very dangerous stuff, with huge amounts of money changing hands and the fighters kept under lock and key by the "Masters" who sponser the fights. The Musketeers who haven't been captured try to keep track of the situation by going to the fights in disguise and following the progress of their comrade, passing medical supplies and food when they are able, but this is too big for them to crack open on their own. Musketeers are worth huge money in this world, and a fight that pits the King's best soldier against the Court of Miracles' best brawler is a huge event.

That would be a good time for the Musketeers to break up this whole ring of evildoers and rescue their man, right?
