Welcome to the BBC The Musketeers kink meme

The lowdown: You post your prompt, anon or not. Someone else will hopefully fill it (also anon or not). Not for profit, just for fun. And in this case, for king and country.

Anon is on, IP logging is off.

Rules:
No wank
No kink-shaming
Be respectful to everyone
The mod is not your babysitter
Use the warnings

Mandatory trigger warnings/warnings for both prompts and fills:
non-con/dub-con
abuse (physical and mental)
issues such as racism, sexism, homo-/trans-/-bi-/ace-phobia etc
character death
suicide
self-harm
eating disorders
extreme physical or mental illness
substance abuse (alcohol, drugs, medication)
bullying
gore and horror

If this list misses anything, do let me know, though please understand that if absolutely everything is added this list will never end.

You are encouraged and advised to add additional warnings at your own discretion.

Please make use of the subject line.

If your prompt alludes to the book or any of the other adaptations, please let us know which one.

Lastly, prompt freezes (which I have to say I’m really not fond of) etc will be at the mod’s discretion. I will decide on a prompt cut-off point for prompt posts once I know how fast the meme moves.

Rule addition: No more discussions on the prompt post. If you want to discuss something, we have a discussion post. If you want to wank about a prompt, that's not what the discussion post is for. That's what your scroll bar and that little red x in the top corner of your browser is for.

Not unscathed Trigger warnings Non con/rape

Date: 2014-02-25 10:37 pm (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
What if Vadim did more to D`artagnan than just tie him to gunpowder barrels?, what if he decided to punish D`artagnan first brutaly and terribly?, leaving D`artagnan emotionaly scarred and ashamed.

What if D`artagnan trys to hide this from everyone, wanting no one to know of his shame?, only to collapse and his secret to be revealed.

Can the Musketeers help him recover from this?, can they over come their guilt for placing D`artagnan in danger and not getting to him in time?

I would really like a D`artagnan/Athos pairing I`m becoming obsessed with it and I`d for Athos and he to be at the start or in a relationship when this happens

The Musketeer's always assumed D'Artagnan was good with horses because of his stable boy past, but really its because he's a centaur.

He'll fight anyone. He'll take any risk. He'll destroy anything. He begged her to kill him.

What's to be done about their lost leader? Can anything bring him back from the edge? How far is too far?

D'Artagnan: Anne, I know that to love you is a treason against France, but not to love you is a treason against my heart.

Queen Anne: Then we will both die traitors, D'Artagnan.

OMC/Aramis Rape/non-con

I want to see a rape-scene.

Something creepy, some situation where one or more guys hold him down and fuck him. Would love fighting, screaming and no one being around to help him until it's all over.

Feel free to add any aftermath, hurt/comfort, etc, but it's not required.

D’Artagnan/Anyone, Gascon language

Date: 2014-02-26 02:27 am (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
D'Artagnan slips into Gascon (the language/dialect (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gascon_language)) when he's in the throes of passion. His partner is *really* into it.

Alternatively, he could have an accent that comes out really strong? (I don't know anything about Gascon as a language; I just love talk-related porn!)

I'd really love to see how these two play off each other.

Maybe Flea is on the run from something, and Porthos arranges for her to hide out at Constance's place.

Maybe they need Constance to go on a mission, and Flea teaches her how to pick pockets so she can steal whatever.

Then they have sex!

Porthos/Anyone/Everyone H/C Stomach Cramps

Date: 2014-02-26 06:00 am (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
Having grown up hand to mouth for a long, long time, until he joined the musketeers really, Porthos has trouble eating. It's not that he doesn't like to, because he definitely does, but his stomach can't handle much and he has to be careful with quantities or else he suffers from some pretty downright torturous stomach aches.

One night, after a long mission, he's not quite as careful as he ought to have been and suffers the consequences, except this time he has someone there to provide comfort.

FILL: Cassoulet - Porthos&Athos Gen H/C 1/2

Date: 2014-03-01 01:27 am (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
Contains references to canon-levels of depression and suicidal thoughts. Because Athos. -sighs-

The rain had turned into snow about two leagues out of Castelnaudary, encasing their saturated cloaks in an immovable layer of sleet. Athos tied his scarf more tightly around his face, which did little to cut the wind of snow. By the time he and Porthos reached the inn, the wool had frozen to his beard. His horse nipped at him as he passed it off to the ostler. Athos didn't even have the heart to box his ears. If he'd been that horse, he'd have bit his rider too.

The inn itself improved his mood. It was a solid stone building that did much to keep the snow out and the heat of the roaring fire in, and served a palatable Grenache and heaping servings of something consisting largely of beans, sausage and goose fat. They both wolfed it down before it was quite cool enough, but Athos couldn't regret his scorched tongue for the way the warmth filled his belly. They'd eaten saddle rations at midday, but the cold and the wet had sapped their strength until, now, Athos' hands trembled with fatigue.

Porthos hadn't said a word to him since they'd discussed the road that morning, and Athos couldn't say he blamed the man. In the few months since Athos had joined the Musketeers, he'd seen very little of Porthos. The only reason he was here now instead of Porthos' sworn brother Aramis was that the latter was recovering from a sword wound to the leg and couldn't ride. Athos also suspected that Captain Treville wanted to see how he got on with working in tandem on long assignments, even fool's errands to the Spanish border.

Unfortunately, Porthos had proven almost as taciturn as Athos himself, and they'd run out of things to say to one another after the second day out of Paris. Nine more days in constant company hadn't seemed to engender any kind of comradeship.

In truth, Athos regretted this. He hadn't gone into the Musketeers looking for anything but an honourable death in the king's service, but he had to admit that watching the ease of company between Porthos and Aramis stirred some kind of envy in his heart. He had never found it easy to bridge the gulf between himself and others, especially strangers, had never had Thomas' natural talent of making people love him, and when they seemed to... well, best not to dwell on that. It was all gone now.

Across from him, Porthos was scraping the last of the stew from his trencher. Athos sipped his wine and watched him eat, feeling oddly encouraged. He'd noticed that his companion seemed to be somewhat picky, almost bird-like, in his eating habits, and it was good to see him pack away an honest meal.

They finished the first bottle together in weary silence, but when Athos waved for another, Porthos shook his head. "I'm done in," he said. "See you tomorrow."

Athos nodded, noting the heaviness in Porthos' gait as he climbed the stair to their rooms. He wondered if they should delay for a day, at least until the weather cleared, and give men and horses a chance to rest. He considered the best way to go about it as he finished the second bottle. He didn't think that Porthos would go easy for his own sake, but perhaps Athos could claim fatigue on his part, or his horse's. He hoped that Porthos wouldn't think him soft for doing so, or report the same back to Captain Treville. He had not been in the regiment so long that he could be seen to be slacking off.

The wine gone, Athos pushed himself to his feet and trudged up the stairs. The boy had said that he'd put Athos' saddle bags in the second room along the hall, with Porthos' in the first, so when Athos heard a sound from that first room, he paused, listening. Hazed in wine, his mind hadn't quite registered what it had heard, just that the noise should not be there, like listening to a lute that had course out of tune with itself. He hesitated at the top of the stair, ears straining, the flickering light of his candle seeming to make every creak of wind on shutters all the louder.

He'd almost dismissed the whole encounter as his imagination, when he heard it again. This time, it was clearly a man's voice. A man, or a kicked dog, the high, plaintive whimper sent a chill down Athos' spine. When he heard it again, he tapped at the door, softly calling Porthos' name.

Athos tried again, more loudly, and still hearing no reply tried the handle. The room was unlocked. He pushed the door open, realising that were everything fine, he was committing an unpardonable breach of privacy.

Porthos lay curled on top of the bed, knees pulled up to his chest, arms warped around his stomach. In the time it took Athos to cross to the bed, Porthos whole body had convulsed several times. Each wave of agony seemed to start at his centre and shoot out, causing his legs to jerk and his shoulders to curl inward. Porthos' own candle had gone out, but when Athos brought his close enough, he could see that his eyes were squeezed so tightly closed that a glimmer of tears clung to the lashes. He'd gotten his boots, belt and jacket off, but little else.

Athos set the candle on the nightstand, and crouched beside the bed, touching Porthos' shoulder. "Porthos," he whispered, then, more loudly, "Porthos, can you hear me?"

"Aramis?"

"No, it's..."

"Oh. You. Go 'way, Athos." His voice sounded strangled and not nearly as forceful as he probably meant it to be.

"Are you hurt?" Athos pressed. "What's wrong with you?"

Porthos tried to say something like "I'm fine," but another spasm caught him and he folded in on himself. His shoulders shook with the force of it, and his breath came in staccato gasps. Unsure of what else he might do, Athos kept his hand on Porthos' shoulder, stroking his upper arm with his thumb.

"Clearly you are not 'fine,'" Athos said when Porthos' breathing slowed and his legs uncurled minutely.

"Go. Away." Porthos seemed to put his last strength into those words, and slumped against the pillow.

"Not until you tell me what's wrong." For himself, Athos would be happy to leave well enough alone, but if the man was going to die on his watch, he should probably do something. And Porthos had expected Aramis to be there; he'd expected not to have to be alone.

At first, Athos thought he wasn't going to get an answer, that Porthos would pretend he wasn't there until he finally did leave, but his hissing, shallow breaths seemed to build to enough strength to say, "My own fault," he grunted, voice so thin that Athos had to lean in to hear it. "Ate too fast. So tired I got stupid and didn't remember. Nothing you can do. I'll be fine in the morning."

"I understand," Athos said. Thomas had had a sensitive stomach when it came to some meats, eventually coming to avoid venison altogether. Before that, their nurse had shown him how to manage. He patted Porthos' shoulder and rose to his feet. "Don't go anywhere."

Porthos' laugh choked off as another spasm overtook him, and a whimper of pain hastened Athos out out the door.

More to follow. Probably Porthos' PoV.

Porthos & Aramis, Language Barrier/Modern AU

Date: 2014-02-26 07:52 am (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
Aramis is a refugee fom a country in the midst of civil war. He can't speak English (or whatever is the official language of the setting of the story), and he's not adjusting to the new society too well (possible trauma from the war) so he's found himself homeless in a country that feels alien to him.

Porthos is a petty thief, and has been one all his life. The two meet under unusual circumstances, and get along despite not being able to understand each other - linguistically, of course. Deep down inside, they were never strangers though - they both knew what it was like to be alienated, and being marginalised by society kind of brought them together.

At one point they get along well enough that Aramis becomes part of Porthos' pickpocketting schtick. With Aramis' charms/schemes and Porthos' skills, they become successful enough to become full-fledged grifters. So one time they get ambitious enough to con the de la Comtes, one of the city's richest families. Problem is, Athos (Olivier?) de la Comte, the last remaining member of the family, is a known reclusive eccentric. Hijinks ensue as they try to get to dupe the guy.

Don't have a preference whether you write Porthos/Aramis as slash or just friends.

Omega!Athos, much angsting

Date: 2014-02-26 05:09 pm (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
Athos is an omega, but has been hiding all his life to escape the stereotype, discrimination, nasty alphas etc . Nobody knows about this. He's on suppressants, and he has never been a submissive person - although he has to suppress his biological instincts through force of will - but he's afraid that his (alpha) friends will find out and think differently of him.
Then they do.

Bonus points for them actually believing the stereotype of omegas (weak-willed, only good for marriage etc) and having this torn away from them, since Athos is just as competent as they are.

I'm not opposed to the cliché of "omega accidentally goes into heat and everyone finds out", but I think it would be interesting for something else to happen. Maybe he's surprised when he's exhausted, his control slips and he reacts like an omega would? Perhaps they are held prisoner and he can't get his suppressants, so he tells them in case he does go into heat?

Pairings can be any or none. I mainly want lots of angst and our favourite musketeers looking out for each other in the end.

Hnnnnck, do want. I may have a stab at writing it but I've not written a fic in ages (SO BASICALLY CAN SOMEONE ELSE ALSO AGREE TO WRITE IT?)

Might use multiple scenarios so the other musketeers discover one by one, not all at once.

As the tin says, d'Artagnan is really a girl and Aramis, Porthos and Athos find out somehow.

Maybe d'Artagnan never had sex with Milady or maybe (s)he did and Milady uses it against her?

+10 for Aramis, Porthos and/or Athos trying to deal with their attraction to d'Artagnan and not knowing what to do about it.
+100 for a scene with Constance. Anything really haha

Porthos/Aramis, learning to write

Date: 2014-02-27 03:31 am (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
So, Porthos made a comment to Flea about how maybe he never learned to write. Maybe he really didn't, and he thinks it's about time he did, or maybe he did learn once he was in the Musketeers. Either way, let's hear about how Aramis gives/gave him some lessons (and maybe got a bit distracted, because this is Aramis we're talking about and he fancies EVERYONE).

Feel free to make it gen, if you want- this would probably work just as well with them being best buds. Just... two of my favourite idiots being huge nerds, please.

Aramis/Anyone, miscommunication/dub-con

Date: 2014-02-27 06:28 am (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
Part of the reason Aramis is so irresistible to seemingly everyone is that he's very good at working out what people want, and is experienced/talented/open-minded enough to always give it to them - playful or intense, fast or slow, rough & kinky or tenderly while reciting poetry... anything goes. Sometimes it's not really what turns him on, but that's ok, he puts a higher value giving his partner pleasure.

Except one time, he ends up doing something he is very much not okay with (a more violent brand of bdsm than he is used to? one particular kink he's not okay with? BLINDFOLDS? idk.) and he doesn't really know how to say no so he just... endures it. Repeatedly.

Cue MUCH DRAMA when the person he had sex with (or one of the musketeer bros who he isn't having sex with but is just really observant) realises what's going on.
From: (Anonymous)
"So?"

Rather than answering, Aramis reaches out to tug the half-full bottle out of Athos' slack grip. He looks weary rather than sated which, along with his sudden arrival at the tavern, is enough to wake Porthos' curiosity. For weeks Aramis had been courting a new ladyfriend -- married but supposedly terribly bored with her fat and constantly travelling husband -- and few were the evenings where he'd found the time to join his friends for drinks or cards.

"So, what?" Aramis finally mutters, stretching out his legs in the direction of the fire. He moves gingerly, the skin around his eyes tightening as if in pain. The love bites on his neck and the thin red scratches which could be spotted under the poorly done-up shirt were nothing new. Aramis, Porthos knew, was of the opinion that a little bit of pain just added to the pleasure. Or, as he'd put it himself, a rose would be no rose if it didn't have thorns.

"So, what happened?" Porthos demands, curiosity giving way to concern.

Aramis makes a face.

"A gentleman doesn't kiss and tell."

"Good thing the only gentleman in the room has already drunk himself into a stupor."

Aramis grins at that, reaching out to ruffle Athos' hair with fondness. As he does, his wrist sticks out of the sleeve and the marks on the skin surrounding the fragile bones are obvious even in the darkness of the tavern. Aramis doesn't struggle as Porthos garbs his arm to inspect the damage closer. Finger-marks, he eventually decides. Much too big to belong to any lady he's ever seen.

"What happened?" he repeats, keeping hold of his friend's hand.

"Her husband showed up."

It's not an altogether unexpected answer. Nor would it be the first, or last, time a betrayed husband had seen fit of his anger on Aramis' pretty skin. Porthos lets go of the hand, surprised when Aramis doesn't immediately pull away.

"There was a fight?" he says, struggling to keep his voice neutral.

"Not as such, no."

He can't help but raise an eyebrow at that.

"Your ladyfriend's husband didn't kick your ass?"

Aramis shakes his head, then lifts a hand to tug at his hair.

"What about the bruises then?"

"Oh, those are his." Aramis hesitates for along time before continuing. "He didn't really want me to leave, you see."

"He didn't want to beat you," Porthos summarizes. "And he didn't want you to leave. So, what did he want?"

Aramis shifts in his seat but doesn't answer. Porthos stare at him, his throat suddenly too tight to give voice to his dawning understanding.

"And did you let him?" he finally manages, the words coming out in a harsh whisper.

"It seemed like a good idea at the time. A simple way to avoid any... unpleasantness."

Aramis' voice is thin, his eyes focused on where his free hand is picking at a loose thread in his shirt.

An invisible band squeezes Porthos' cheet, forcing his heart to skip a few beats as he takes a deep breath.

"The bruises suggest you tried to leave," he hears himself say.

Aramis shakes his head.

"If I had wanted to leave, I would have. He was just... enthusiastic. And surprisingly strong for a fat, old man."

Whether that's the truth or just the truth as Aramis needs it to be, Porthos can't tell.

"I didn't say no," Aramis adds, his voice certain now.

"Maybe you should have."

The words slink out before he has a chance to think them through, but luckily Aramis doesn't seem to take offense.

"It's not really something I do," he says, much later when they're tucking Athos into his bed.

"What?" asks Porthos, before his brain catches up. "Say no, you mean?"

"Not to sex, no."

xxx

The only way Porthos knows to respond to that is to begin asking, a few times each day;

"What about her? What about him? Or them? Would you let them do this or that? Would you want them to? When would you say no?"

It's ridiculous and awkward, but worth every moment as Aramis' responses begin to remain strong even when the answer is a resounding no.

So, d'Artagnan and his partner[s] have been together for a little while now, and his partner[s] decides they want to try something a little different. Like bondage. Which makes d'Artagnan nervous, because the last time anyone restrained him like that, he was left to die under the palace in an explosion of gunpowder. But he loves his partner[s], and wants to make them happy, so he buries the worry and agrees to try it out.
It doesn't go well. The minute his arms are restrained, he freaks out and panics, and his partner[s] has to untie him and calm him down. Which is how they learn about Vadim and the barrels of gunpowder, and how close they came to losing d'Artagnan.
Hurt/Comfort all around, any combination of pairings is good but there's a special place in my heart for OT4.
From: (Anonymous)
Oh god yes. this would be so heartbreaking and sweet - and if it's not OT4, for some reason I feel like it should be Aramis, which is odd, because I'm usually all for d'Artagnan/Athos. But OT4 would be wonderful

Aramis/Porthos - Kidnapping, shovel talk

Date: 2014-02-28 03:29 am (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
While on a solo mission, Aramis is attacked and kidnapped by agents of the Court of Miracles. Not willing to wait for Treville's rescue plan, Athos, Porthos and D'Artagnan sneak into the Court themselves to find him. There, they discover that Aramis was only kidnapped, not for political reasons, but so Flea could give him the shovel talk regarding Porthos.

Bonus, they weren't in a relationship before the kidnapping but both in love with each other and Aramis figures he has already recieved the threats, might as well actually do the crime.

Extra Bonus, Aramis makes friends with half the members of the Court (my personal headcanon is that Aramis can make friends with just about anyone because he doesn't take into account things like social standing or race) and they are reluctant to let him leave in the end. And incure the wrath of Porthos who wants his Aramis back.

Porthos has a thing for Aramis, who turns out to be straight, not interested and nice enough about it, and ends up sleeping with Athos in frustration and loneliness. Athos is happy enough to get laid, especially in a no strings attached kind of way. So they have a thing, where they're both on their own and hook up to scratch the itch. Then it slowly turns into more.

I just want them all in the french resistance. Way to thought out plot below;

I was reading about the french resistance and the Nazi occupation of france and decided I really want this. So lots of French workers were shipped of to germany to farm and work in factories under the Service du travail obligatoire, but some resisted and escaped underground, where lots became members of the french resistance. My thought is that d'Artagnan, as a farm boy between 18-25 would have been selected to go to germany, but his father gets in the way giving him enough time to escape. His father is killed in the process, and d'Artagnan vows to kill the man who did it, so follows him to Paris. There he is almost captured by the Nazi's, but is saved by Constace. She has been using her position as the wife of the occupying force favorite taylor - cos lets face it, he'd stuck up for anyone - to help the french resistance, passing on information and hiding fugitives. She introduces d'Artagnan to Athos, a man she helped escape from the Nazi, and his two friends Porthos and Aramis, who are active members of the french resistance, living under ground. They take him under their wing and they go off together helping undermine the occupying force and assisting the allies in retaking france. Milady is a former spy for the german government, who worked her way into Athos' bed as a way of gaining info from the high ups of french society, and fell in love with him. But his brother found out who she was and she killed him, forcing Athos to turn her in for the good of france, and marking his as an enemy to the Nazi's, which is why he is on the run. Porthos' mother was a black actress/cabaret dancer with liberal views who ended up in a concentration camp, but made sure her son escaped. Aramis joined out of choice, because he believed the Nazi's were against his religus ideology and patriotic beliefs of freedom of france and it's citizens. Milady now works exclusively for Richelieu (who I think should be a general but I'm not entirely sure, maybe a high up in the gestapo) as an assassin and spy, as does the man who killed d'Artagnan's father. Louis is a young member of french parliament, who took over his fathers post after he was assassinated, and is mostly under the thumb of Richelieu, much to his wife's distress. She is well and truly on the side of the resistance, even though she thinks she has no way of helping, especially after she was save from being robbed by a dashing resistance soldier with the beautiful eyes(Aramis). Bonus point for constance teaching teaching d'Artagnan the subtle art of espionage, and constance and Anne eventually being in cahoots are resistance spies. And a 'we-could-die-at-any-moment-lets-not-waste-time' attitude to relationships.
