Welcome to the BBC The Musketeers kink meme

The lowdown: You post your prompt, anon or not. Someone else will hopefully fill it (also anon or not). Not for profit, just for fun. And in this case, for king and country.

Anon is on, IP logging is off.

No wank
No kink-shaming
Be respectful to everyone
The mod is not your babysitter
Use the warnings
No prompts with characters under the age of 16 in sexual situations, please.
Please keep the discussions in the prompt post to a minimum. We have a discussion post

Mandatory trigger warnings/warnings for both prompts and fills:
abuse (physical and mental)
issues such as racism, sexism, homo-/trans-/-bi-/ace-phobia etc
character death
eating disorders
extreme physical or mental illness
substance abuse (alcohol, drugs, medication)
gore and horror

If this list misses anything, do let me know, though please understand that if absolutely everything is added this list will never end.

You are encouraged and advised to add additional warnings at your own discretion.

Please make use of the subject line.

If your prompt alludes to the book or any of the other adaptations, please let us know which one.

Lastly, prompt freezes (which I have to say I’m really not fond of) etc will be at the mod’s discretion. I will decide on a prompt cut-off point for prompt posts once I know how fast the meme moves.

Discussion post:

Official fill post (I strongly suggest you use it for better visibility of your fills):

Mod contact post

New updates:
- Extras fill post for the free for all rounds (as much as I hate dividing the meme even more.)

- To answer a question going around in the discussion post, here's a small guideline: If you're unsure about something, either decide by yourself how you want to fill it and see if OP likes it or not or communicate with OP via aksing questions.

Aramis/Porthos, marriage

Date: 2014-04-13 07:08 pm (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
I know that technically, they couldn't get married in their own time period. Either way, they decide that they both want the sort of commitment that a marriage entails (even though they have a bad track record with sexual fidelity, so I guess that part could be optional in their relationship).

So, they have some little ceremony with either just the two of them or their closest friends as well, and they exchange either some bit of jewelry or some other token, and they say their vows and kiss and then go off and have a wedding night (which isn't really a first, but hey, whatever).

Basically, a cobbled together ceremony in the middle of nowhere that means nothing to the law and everything to them.

Cold Aramis

From: (Anonymous)
First prompt of the thread!

Gimme cold Aramis with with permanently freezing toes and cold fingers and getting blue-tinted lips and shivering as soon as the temperature sinks below zero (Celcius).

Bonus points for him force-cuddling the others for heat.

Sweet prompt though.

Erm basically just a highschool!au where Aramis is ridiculously morally ambiguous because he's super religious but he's having ~feelings for this ballet dancer (Porthos) and his pretty friend (d'Artagnan)

Constance/Porthos/D'Artagnan, Polyamory

Just, literally anything with the three of them being fond of each other and being dumb and kissing each other's faces. Up to you whether you want it Musketeer-era, or Modern, or anything. I'm good with anything. I just need this!!
From: (Anonymous)
I just have this image of Aramis as some kind of pet and/or sexual plaything. Naked, collared, led around on his hands and knees on a lead and treated very much as less than a person. He's been rigorously trained to be obedient and follow orders, like a good boy. I was picturing a few different scenarios - one in which he is given to Anne by Louis, perhaps as an anniversary gift, and another in which he's some kind of garrison pet for the musketeers - but honestly, I'll take whatever I can get with this! I don't mind if he's always been this way, or if it's been some kind of punishment, or whatever. Maybe this is some kind of mirror-universe? I love Aramis/anybody, really, but Aramis/Porthos, OT3 and OT4 are my favourites.

Marvel 1602 Crossover/Fusion/Whatever

If the world in the comic hadn't ended, so there's super powers and dinosaurs and Lord Iron etc, where would the Musketeers fit in?

Could be a crossover with the characters when they're older, or jigger the timeline, or just 17th-century super powers and dinosaurs.

This anon actually liked the Greg Pak story better than the original because it did the American Indian stuff better, but hasn't read the Peter David one. However, I'm pretty sure I'd be happy with where ever any author wants to go with it.

Any pairing and characters would be great.

Porthos/Any Nightmares

Date: 2014-04-13 08:57 pm (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
After Homecoming, Porthos keeps having nightmares where it ended badly: he was hung, the Court blew up, the Musketeers abandoned him. He's ashamed to admit that he needs comfort and reassurance, but at the same time the lack of sleep starts wearing him down.

if you want to be a good musketeer

Date: 2014-04-13 09:25 pm (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)

A list. Something fun (or completely sensible as far as Athos is concerned) put together by the 3, of guidelines on how to be a good musketeer.

Eg. Porthos would probably put 'Remember: kicking, biting, gouging is all good' on there.

But what else?

MINI!FILL: Cold Hands, Warm Heart (Cold Aramis)

Date: 2014-04-13 11:10 pm (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
"Get off!"

The indignant yell from other bed made Porthos snigger and D'Artagnan looked at him in surprise. He wondered what the hell Aramis had just done to make Athos shout like that, given that Athos' anger normally took the silently seething route. If Porthos was laughing though, it couldn't be anything too bad. Could it?

"Touch me again, I'll cut it off," Athos said distinctly.

D'Artagnan's eyes widened even further. He knew Aramis had a reputation, but he found it hard to imagine the man making advances on Athos of all people. Particularly given that he and Porthos were in the room.

At that moment Porthos blew out the candle and the room was plunged into darkness. The far bed creaked, and there was a certain amount of muttering, which D'Artagnan found himself straining to catch.

"Oh for - go on then," Athos sighed. "If you must."

D'Artagnan stared into the gloom, in a kind of fascinated alarm. Were they seriously going to - surely not. Were they?

No matter how carefully he listened though, no further noises were forthcoming from across the room, and all he could make out was an unmoving mound of blankets. The more he tried not to picture what they might be doing, the more his brain provided disturbing suggestions, and he finally fell asleep dogged by certain awkward mental images that followed him into his dreams.

Across the room, oblivious to D'Artagnan's plight, Aramis was tucked firmly against Athos' back. His cold nose was pressed against the back of Athos' neck, buried in his hair; his freezing feet were entwined with Athos' considerably warmer ones, and an arm was thrown round Athos' waist, Aramis' chilly fingers burrowed into the folds of Athos' nightshirt.

Aramis, warm at last, and Athos, enjoying the comfort of a body curled around him despite his protests, were both fast asleep.

Athos/Aramis, UST, Athos is in love

Date: 2014-04-14 04:52 am (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
It is newer enough Athos/Aramis in this life. I want some sweet UST, and this time Athos have to be the one, who is in love with Aramis madly, but keeps it to himself for a long time, and other just have no clue. Because it is always Aramis, who makes the first move, and I want it to be the other way.

I`d much appreciate Athos`s POW, a lot of his thoughts about his friend and "what if", and all of this drives him to the point, when hi just couldn`t resist and spills it out to Aramis. They are kissing. Happy end :)

Please, give me feelings, and I will love you till the end of times :)

Merlin crossover, OT3/4 with Lancelot

Date: 2014-04-14 04:52 am (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)

Aramis and Lancelot miraculously switch places. I am actually curious about the Musketeers side with super noble, straight backed Lancelot. Maybe they don't want the cardinal to notice, so Lancelot needs to play Aramis.

Aramis was the womans man, but maybe Lancelot has a thing for the other two/three musketeers.

Give me awkwardness, love and maybe some sexy time?

I bet Porthos would have fun with LAncelot hand build nobility :D

We can guess at the gist of what you mean, but maybe double check your sentences next time? It will let fillers understand what you're after a little better! :)

There's a time and a place for commenting on people's grammar and sentence structure. A (perfectly understandable) prompt on a kink meme probably doesn't make that list. In fact, unless you've been asked to give your opinion on someone's grasp of the English language, it's probably best to just say nothing :-)

Not in a mean way, but the essence of a kinkmeme is writing.

Some would argue that what matters is having fun with other members of fandom. Most people here just lurk, never writing but just reading. Another huge part just writes prompts. A tiny portion of those active on this meme then write fills. Maybe there we can start to be concerned about quality, but frankly a better policy is probably to just not continue reading if the errors are too jarring.

Commenting like you did has the potential of hurting people's feelings (not just OP's) and might make future prompters and fillers worry about posting in the future. It makes the meme a less nice and inclusive place to be. I understand where you're comming from -- if you want to join me in a discussion in the appropriate thread about the urgent need for beta readers in this fandom I think you'll find us on the same side -- but maybe you've never had reason to think about it from the perspective of non-native speakers before?

I won't say anything more about it here though. Have a nice week! :-)

Gen or Any/Any/OT3, out of their depth

Date: 2014-04-14 06:43 am (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
We've seen how each of the three has their particular skills. Aramis is a good shot and can act as medic in a pinch. Porthos is the strongest of them and apparently able to withstand some serious amount of thrashing. Athos is the best swordsman and generally cool-headed.

So let's put them in situations where they're forced to do things they're not good at/are the others' expertise. Like maybe Porthos needs to take a super-important clear shot at something and is afraid that he'll miss. Or Athos has to stitch someone up and despite how level-headed he is it turns out he's pretty queasy about this one thing. Or Aramis gets into a fight without his weapons and against an opponent who is physically stronger than him. That sort of thing

Bonus for post-factum teasing from the other two.
