So the idea is that there is a whole bunch of rituals within the musketeers. When a new recruit gets his admission, when someone is killed in battle and even when someone retires. There is also one for the new captain.

Basically I just want Treville to fuck Athos seven days to sunday as an initiation for him becoming captain. Or anything like that actually.

There's not enough Treville/Athos out there! Seconded!

I don't know if it's forbidden on this kink meme, but I'm craving for some Marc Warren/Tom Burke smut since I've read they're friends for a couple of years. (More, I've got a soft spot for age difference and just discovered that Marc is 48... Seriously ?!)

Sorry this took so long to finish, it's been a mad week.

Constance was hiding in the gardens of the Louvre avoiding anyone who might ask her what was wrong. She was crying heavily, sobs wracking her body as the words d’Artagnan said to her rattled round and round her brain.

I’m in love with someone else.

She had waited too long and now he had found another to love and Constance was heartbroken. The only thing that had sustained her through the last few months of her marriage was the thought of being with d’Artagnan. She had fought her attraction to him for so long that she had missed her chance.

She should hate him, she thought. She should have been angry at him when he told her that he had moved on but she couldn’t. He wouldn’t wait forever for her, she knew that, but a selfish part of her wanted him to. She wanted him to be hers.

He had looked so happy when he told her, though, and she couldn’t hate him for that. He had every right to some happiness as anyone else, it was so often in short supply after all but that didn’t mean that Constance was going to feel any less broken hearted. She had gone to him intending to tell him that she was leaving Bonacieux and wanted to start a relationship with d’Artagnan but she had been completely blindsided by his news.

She wondered who it was.

He hadn’t told her. He’d just told her that he had fallen for someone and that he was the happiest that he had ever felt. How could she compete with that? Obviously she couldn’t which was why she was hiding away crying her heart out.

Why couldn’t it be her?

A noise roused Constance from her melancholy thoughts and she quickly wiped the tears away from her cheeks when she heard the King amongst the other members of the court. Not wanting to be seen, Constance shrunk further into herself and hoped she would be ignored.

She saw the King walk past, regaling the people with him with a story of a recent hunt, all laughing on cue. They did not see her, she was invisible to them but then there was Milady. She turned her head and looked directly at her.

Constance felt a wave of anger wash over her. She made her dislike of Milady no secret and she was even more outraged over how the King flaunted their affair in front of the Queen. But something about this was different. Milady often looked at Constance as though she was superior but her gaze this time was something else. It was knowing. She knew why Constance wept, it was in her eyes, and in that moment Constance knew that Milady was feeling the same despair she was.

She now understood what was happening and d’Artagnan did not need to tell her who he was in love with. She knew it was Athos.

Milady nodded briefly and silently before she rejoined the King’s company leaving Constance alone with nothing more than her despair.

As far as I recall, they never actually state d'Artagnan's age on the show, though we can assume he's 18-20 like his literary counterpart. But what if d'Artagnan was just enough younger (say 15-16) that him being a musketeer was not altogether okay with the others? But by the time they figure it out, d'Artagnan's already been commissioned by Louis.

Yeah, this is basically my excuse for soliciting shameless baby!d'Artagnan and paternal/protective!Inseparables. Please and thank you!

Athos and Porthos are partners, both at work for Treville's Number 1 special investigations team, (along with newest recruit D'artagnan) and at home on a more personal level. Happy and content in their relationship and work, their lives take a turn for the unexpected when they're given their latest mission - to bring down Prostitution and Drug Kingpin Marsac.

They decide the easiest way to do this is via one of his most beloved prostitutes, Aramis. The two arrest the cocky but damaged man for solicitation and give him no other choice but to help him bring down his boss. Although reluctant at first, Aramis soon begins to respect the officers and Athos and Porthos unwittingly fall for the prostitutes charms.

Everything looks set to go down as planned until Marsac discovers Aramis' deceit and it's up to the other two to save the man they've fallen madly for.

I don't know why but I love the idea of Marsac as Aramis' pimp. He makes such a nice villain.

I loved the way The Inseparables took Treville under their wing after he was demoted by Louis in episode 4.

But what if they did so to protect him as well as because they love him?.

What if some of The Musketeers decided to take advantage of the situation and set about bullying and attempting to humiliate Treville?, now that he`s nothing more than a comrade and not their commanding officer they decide to make him suffer for the times when he`s had to exert his authority on them.

Lots H/C and maybe some grovelling Musketeers when Treville gets his Captaincy back?

During an assignment, Aramis takes a bad blow to the head and falls into a coma for a worrying amount of time. The doctor is convinced that he'll never wake up, it's up to the writer how everyone responds to that news, maybe they refuse to believe it, maybe they fall into despair. He doesn't die, of course, but everyone is really worried. Extra emphasis on the concern/comfort part would be lovely!

Just wanted to stick my head in and say I am still very interested in this fic and hope we see more soon!

Everyone knows that the sex and the dynamic are supposed to be aligned.

Alphas are to be Dominants, aggressive, powerful, leaders of a pack.

Betas are to be switches, able to lead if they are male, or submit if they are female.

Omegas are to be submissive, bow to the will of others, and never attempt to act as a dominant or defy the orders of others.

But what about when the dynamic and sex do not align?.

Treville was born an Omega, but presented as a Dominant.

He was born to bear young, but also to lead, he can never be content to simply become the carrier of someones children, or submit himself to whims of another.

Believing himself to have no option but to spend a life a lone, he ignores his sex in favour of his dynamic, becoming a soldier and the captain of the Musketeers, where he meets the unusual Alpha Richelieu, who is also misaligned as he is an Alpha Switch.

After several false starts the two fall into a relationship, that works for both their sexes and dynamics.

Porthos is a Beta, he should be a Switch, should be able to both submit and dominate, but he presented as a dominant, he is as fiery as an Alpha, with all the protective passionate instincts of a dominant.
Quite by chance when he is enlisted in The Musketeers after serving in the infantry, he is befriended by the Omega Switch Aramis, who`s unaligned sex and dynamic have made him an out cast deemed unfit for breeding.
Pushed to go into the church, Aramis instead chose the sword, hoping to find his true path and never expected to find his soul mate aswell or said soul mate to be a dominant Beta.

Athos was born an Alpha, he should be the natural leader, should dominate a pack, be aggressive and powerful.

But he presented as a submissive.

He yearns for the love of a dominant, and the bonding of an Omega or Beta.

His Father tried to beat the submission out of him, bullied and belittled him into putting on a mask of being a dominant, that he was able to use to fool his traitorous Beta Switch wife until she murdered his brother.

Now in the Musketeers, Athos has no reason to hide his dynamic, but wallows in misery, feeling his misalignment is a curse and makes him unworthy, not even the friendships of Aramis and Porthos can convince him otherwise in his darkest moments.

Then by chance, a fiery Omega comes from Gascony, changing everything.

D`Artagnan was born Omega, but his dynamic is Alpha, his parents tried to bully and force the dominant out of him, to make him into the perfect submissive Omega, even trying to force him into an arranged bonding with a monsterous Alpha that sent d`Artagnan fleeing Gascony intent on starting a new life.

He never believed he would find his perfect mate in The Musketeers, find both and Alpha and a Submissive who would accept and love him just as he is.

Together the three couples make their relationships work defying social conforms and standards, but can they continue to make things work when fires ravage the contraceptive herbs leaving them all facing parenthood.

Dominant Omegas do not take well to pregnancy, and Switch Omegas often have a very rough time, can their relationships survive as their bodies are now at war with their dynamics?

Now, this is in NO WAY intended as a hijack, but the first thing that popped into my head was that it would be interesting if it was Porthos who fell into despair, and Athos who keeps the faith, because it's such a reversal of what one would expect.

OP, how do you feel about mild series 2 spoilers? I have an idea for the prompt but I want to check before I go ahead with it :)
