Please make use of the subject line.

If your prompt alludes to the book or any of the other adaptations, please let us know which one.

Lastly, prompt freezes (which I have to say I’m really not fond of) etc will be at the mod’s discretion. I will decide on a prompt cut-off point for prompt posts once I know how fast the meme moves.

[S2E5] Catherine, not Milady, killed Thomas

Date: 2015-03-02 09:23 pm (UTC)
From: [personal profile] kyele
TL;DR: Milady actually didn't kill Thomas; it was actually Catherine, who framed Milady into the bargain.

...Because I just watched that episode again, and the whole thing doesn't make sense. Milady wouldn't kill Thomas in broad daylight, in the middle of the manor house where she would be instantly discovered, with no better excuse or fallback plan than "he tried to force himself on me". And Catherine was wayyyyy too pleased about it. And obviously crazy. And obsessed with getting what she thinks she's owed. She proved in the episode that she'll commit murder in the name of that goal, so why not Thomas?

Try this scenario on for size: Catherine is betrothed to Athos, whereby she expects to attain her rightful place in the world. Instead, Athos marries this random chick, demoting Catherine to second place. So Catherine murders Thomas and frames Milady. By doing so, she extracts revenge on Athos for choosing Milady over her; gets Milady out of the way; and gets to attain her rightful place at Athos' side. Thomas dies, but hey, can't make an omelet without breaking some eggs. (It frankly seemed to me as if Catherine didn't have a lot of respect for Thomas.)

Milady finds herself in room with Thomas' body and immediately realizes she's being framed. She realizes, being an excellent judge of character, that Catherine is framing her and that Athos will never believe that of Catherine. She calculates that she's more likely to survive if she subverts Catherine's frame job by admitting to the murder but spinning it as justified, hence her claim that Thomas attempted to force himself on her. It's a good attempt - Athos was pretty smitten by her and willing to overlook a lot. Unfortunately, it doesn't work, leading to the events of the series as we've viewed them.

Why Milady has never corrected this misunderstanding is up to filler. Any pairings or none welcome.

I came away from that episode with the exact same thought (WHAT IF CATHERINE KILLED THOMAS?), although nowhere this thought out!!

(I'd actually been meaning to rewatch that S1 episode just to see exactly how ppl talk about it, because there's GOT to be more to it after we met Catherine, right? RIGHT?)

Constance hears how Aramis finished things with Marguerite and slaps him for his behaviour. She thinks he used Marguerite to be close to the Queen but Aramis blurts out something that makes Constance realise it was the baby he wanted to see. Dots get connected and she softens towards him and actually offers comfort because SOMEONE SHOULD! The whole baby thing makes my heart break for Aramis, forced to watch from a distance as another man raises your child...sob!
From: (Anonymous)
I love Constance/Aramis friendship so count me in! I would quite like it if dots got connected and Aramis works out the life Lemay almost lost but Constance saved was his sons...maybe that could be added too? Sorry, just tagging onto your prompt. Lol.

Proven Loyalty, TW abuse, possible dub-con

Date: 2015-03-03 02:24 pm (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
Vadim asks for more than d'Artagnan is comfortable giving, saying he has to prove his loyalty or else not be included in the plans to 'assassinate the king'. Determined not to fail this mission and worried about disappointing Treville and the Inseparables, d'Art eventually complies, deeply regretting it as his short time with Vadim quickly turns into a hellish nightmare.

Only to find out that Vadim knew he was a spy all along and just wanted to see how far he could take the trick.

Mostly just want something soul-crushingly dark but not too graphic- if Anon goes with dub-con then please either minimum detail or just a before and after with everything only implied- and awesome Inseparables (and Treville) coming in at the end to help a thoroughly devastated d'Artagnan.

Bonuses if they find out from Vadim rather than d'Artagnan about what happened,
also if d'Art doesn't realize at first that they know and feels completely horrible about it, tries not to let them know, and then when Aramis is resultingly on the fence about praying for Vadim's soul, just quietly asks if Aramis can pray for his as well, at which point the dam breaks and AwesomeInseparables really step in to take care of their little brother.

S2 Spoilers - Aramis Targeted

Date: 2015-03-03 08:05 pm (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
In Emilie when Aramis infiltrates the camp, he's accused briefly of "looking Spanish." I'd love a story built around this, whether it's related to the episode or not. Someone mistakes him for Spanish, or questions his loyalties. A crowd in a street somewhere, or an individual who wants him out of the Musketeers. Or... anything, really.

Epic Bro-ness or Athos/Aramis appreciated, but anything's good.

Treville's Boarding School for Troubled Youths

Date: 2015-03-03 09:47 pm (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
Treville is a WW1 veteran in Britain who runs a boarding school for troubled youths in the 1920's, having been a 'troubled youth' with his own rough past once. Now he runs the school (with Richelieu's quiet funding and reluctant backing) hoping to help kids get a proper education and provide a safe and stable place, many of his charges having no where else to go, some dropped off by family wanting them out of the way, some came to him by way of the State and the police even.

Olivier came from a surprisingly affluent and powerful family in France, a relation of his dropped him off at the school after some unknown ugly incident had taken place at the Comte de la Fère estate. His family wanting him out of France and out of the way, only Treville knowing what actually happened.
Isaac had been living on the mean streets of London, running with a group of other street kids, having been caught for stealing and a long list of other crimes. Treville managed to pull some strings to have the angry young man sent to him instead of some horrible workhous, he also wanted to atone for something having known Isaac's father in his own rough past.
Originally from Spain, René was brought to the school for temporary custody having been picked up for drug possession and soliciting in London. He had come to England helping his 'cousin' Marsac run a few cons in London while the older man was trying to escape from a few debts back in Spain

Treville and the rest of the small staff at the school call the three boys the 'Inseparables' and it is no surprise when the three start calling themselves Athos, Porthos and Aramis after their favorite book. New names for their lives and the family of choice they had formed, spending a few truly happy years in that place. But the real world would conspire to pull their little family apart.

Treville manages to get full custody of Porthos, but is able to do nothing when Aramis is finally deported back to Spain and into Marsac's waiting arms. Porthos never does completely forgive him for that, and then he and Treville could only watch as Athos' family finally came and took the reluctant young man back, standing there watching them drive away.

Its after WWII, Porthos now a grown man and veteran is finally back from the war and helps Treville run the boarding school, when he decides to track down his 'family', not knowing if their even alive. Treville helps, showing him all their personal folders when they were under his care and even calling in some favors, for while Porthos is looking for his family so is Treville, for while he cared for all those under his care, these three were always 'his boys'. Will the Inseparables be united again or has time and the ravages of the Second World War scattered and broken them forever?

Papa-Treville feels a must, Bro-otp or Friends to lovers is all good. If you want to add d'Art to the mix feel free (with the caveat that he is NOT the main focus of the story).

Aramis/Richelieu is a fervent catholic yet he lives in sin, loving another man. He surely felt bad about it once or twice. I'd want to read something where Aramis or Richelieu is struggling with his faith and his love affair.

You can go for one pairing or try to make parallel between them. I'll be happy either way !

I`ve only just developed a liking for Richelieu/Treville and it is the fault of Kyele for making them so damn hot!!!!.

But it lead me to prompt this little piece of angst

An old enemy of The Cardinals rears his ugly head, and is out for revenge, but instead of going straight to Richelieu and attacking him, he goes for the only thing in the world that Richelieu loves more than Power.

Massive hurt/comfort, with Richelieu personally nursing Treville back to health.

Lemay\Aramis (UST) - Season 2

From: (Anonymous)
- I have already posted this as a comment to someone else's prompt. It seemed unfair to hijack, so have created my own thread.

When the baby was sick, it was Aramis that told Lemay about the steam possibly being a help. Lemay having heard of Aramis from when he saved The Cardinal from poisoning last season. And is more than willing to help when Aramis brings him the God Soup. In my head they have regular get together's in order to swap expertise and experience. Lemay is a bit infatuated, Aramis is a bit too occupied with other thoughts to realise.

One Musketeer's dangling over the side of a cliff, and another is holding his hand to stop him from falling.

They have stay like this for a while, because help isn't coming in the next few minutes, and whoever's on solid ground is too tired to pull his brother up. All he can do it keep his hold on his hand.

In my head it was d'Artagnan hanging off the cliff and Athos holding him, but you can choose whoever you want, I'm not that picky.

Poor Pothos has been bitten by some creature of the night and is now cursed to transform into a massive scary beast in the light of the moon. Needless to say all who look upon his new monstrous form are in for a fright (that or go running to grab their pitch-forks and torches), poor Porthos is terribly self-consciousness and wary while Treville and the Musketeers don't know what to make of this new development.

Porthos: "What do I do!?

Athos (feeling a head-ache coming on): We will find some way to cure you of this... What ever it is.

d'Art (looking up at Porthos in wide-eyed amazement): You were big before, but now your huge.

Aramis (with a big smile): And your penis is massive!

Actual fall out from episode one?

From: (Anonymous)
In the first episode, Milady successfully framed d'Artagnan for murder. He was chased through the streets exactly one time.

Is it just me, or was this never. mentioned. again?

Basically requesting something of any sort where this incident returns to haunt our favorite Gascon. Maybe he happens across someone from that inn and is recognized? Or maybe the innkeeper actually contacts the authorities?

I'd like to see him actually be arrested since, being new to Paris and not knowing anyone very well, it wouldn't exactly be easy to find people to vouch for his innocence, and it might be fun to see the Inseparables running around trying to get him out of that one.

Anon can feel free to do literally whatever they want with it. Run wild, my love, be free.

Inspired by the last episode and a prompt sent earlier :

For an obscure reason (Rochefort could have plotted it), Treville is condemned to be flogged several times in the garrison. Give me some angst from Treville and his musketeers, condemned to watch his punishment.

Then, comfort him in all the ways you want : Aramis treating his wounds, Porthos carrying him in his arms, Athos or D'Artagnan watching over him...

(It'd be even better if the musketeers were the condemned ones and Treville asked to take the punishment.)
From: (Anonymous)
Athos and d`Artagnan are getting married!!!!!, so are Aramis and Porthos!!!

A double wedding ensues, with chaos, cake wars, florists pulling out at the last minute and surprise pregnancies, will they make it to the alter?, with their surrogate daddies Richelieu and Treville have heart attacks and nervous break downs along the way?!, and what about Athos`s ex-wife showing up to try and ruin the big day?.

Light hearted and fun, and if anyone wants to do Mis and d`Art in wedding gowns instead of suits go for it!
From: (Anonymous)
d'Artagnan is arrested for the sake of a mission, but once again things do not go as expected. The guards are unnecessarily cruel, maybe he winds up with the wrong sort of cell-mate, other prisoners are made aware of his being a musketeer and they hate him for it, all of the above...

In any case, things go very, very badly wrong for d'Artagnan and there is nothing he can do about it but wait for the Inseparables to find a way of getting him out of this situation while everyone tries to salvage what they can of the mission.

From d'Artagnan's side of things, the darker the better. Bonus points for a public flogging being somehow involved.

I'd love to see some Constance/d'Artagnan/Lemay! However sexual/romantic you like (though at least some sort of intimate emotional relationship between the three of them, please), sex or G-rated, it's all good. :D

From: (Anonymous)
So seconded!

This is by no means meant to hijack your prompt, OP, so please speak up if it's not what you had in mind.

But maybe, because Constance only had years of really bad, uncomfortable sex with Bonacieux before her affair with d'Artagnan, she has never had an orgasm. D'Artagnan is passionate but not that experienced, and doesn't know how to help her. They go to Lemay, because he knows about these cool new treatments for female hysteria that he learned about in Switzerland. (And yes, I know that's an insulting concept-- but it was a real thing, and lots of women got lots of orgasms from their doctors because of it.)

So Lemay teaches d'Artagnan and Constance about manual stimulation, and everyone ends up having a really good time.

Set sometimes post s2e4 (Emilie), Porthos, Aramis, Athos, and d'Artagnan go to a tavern and play the game "Never Have I Ever." By the ends of the night, feelings and secrets are revealed. Bonus points for Porthos mentioning that he's never slept with someone the king has also slept with.
From: (Anonymous)
Revolution is sweeping through France, and Lupiac in Gascony is no exception. Between the oppressive taxes and overall poverty (his family had been mildly wealthy once!), d'Artagnan has become a revolutionary. When his father is killed in the streets during a riot, d'Artagnan hears that a nobleman named Athos is to blame. When they meet, d'Artagnan finds Athos innocent and himself growing fond of Athos, but will that be enough to bridge the gaps in class and sides of the revolution?

Porthos spanking Aramis or Athos

From: (Anonymous)
So, I read of Athos spanking, caning and whatever else everyone of them, and it makes sense since he's the leader but since Porthos is the "physical" one I'd love to see him, for once, dealing with the punishment.
I'd prefer it to be a punishment and not sexual, but it's ok if it leads to sex. it can be his hand or whatever implement, I've no triggers. First time or a usual thing. In a relationship or just friends. "out of rage" or knowing it to be the only way to help the punished to clean his conscience.
Anything will work for me, just gimme Porthos doing the spanking, please!!

Richelieu caning d'Artagnan

Date: 2015-03-08 06:47 pm (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
In a similar strain to the above prompt,

Cardinal Richelieu is sick of d'Artagnan getting in his way and decides that extreme humiliation is in order. He either manages to get d'Artagnan alone or there can be some Red Guards involved, but either way the scenario ends with an /excessively/ severe beating, preferably with a cane but really anything will do.

Bonus points for the Cardinal actually drawing blood, and feel free to bring in the Inseparables afterward for some "Hey, what's wrong with you?" and TLC of emotional and/or medical nature.

More bonus points for Constance...just, somewhere in this and being nice to d'Artagnan either before or after because I can't find nearly enough hurt/comfort with those two.
