The mod is not your babysitter
Use the warnings
No prompts with characters under the age of 16 in sexual situations, please.
Please keep the discussions in the prompt post to a minimum. We have a discussion post

character death

If this list misses anything, do let me know, though please understand that if absolutely everything is added this list will never end.

You are encouraged and advised to add additional warnings at your own discretion.

Please make use of the subject line.

If your prompt alludes to the book or any of the other adaptations, please let us know which one.

Lastly, prompt freezes (which I have to say I’m really not fond of) etc will be at the mod’s discretion. I will decide on a prompt cut-off point for prompt posts once I know how fast the meme moves.

Announcement: A blanket spoiler warning is necessary for prompts pertaining to season 2. Just season 2 Spoilers in the subject line will do.

The Musketeers (or only Athos and Treville) are caught in a trap. Before dying (or expecting to), Treville make a deep and beautiful speech to the boy who caught his eye and then the man he felt in love with : Athos.

Seconded like the burning of a thousand suns!

Improvised Weaponry

From: (Anonymous)
Remembering the scene where Porthos uses the fork, and the bad ass nuns throwing bees, more scenes where 'proper' weapons are not to hand and they have to improvise.

e.g. Aramis picks something up and throws it at a fleeing suspect, taking him down. Athos has to use a candlestick to fend off attackers. And the like.

An unlikely likely friendship

From: (Anonymous)

In the Homecoming, we meet Pastor Ferrand who fought too many battles and then he found God (or God found him)...Is it just me who thought of Aramis?

Faith differences aside (given the time), I could see a friendship there. Quite how it starts...I don't know. Perhaps Aramis goes back to let the Pastor know how it all panned out and apologise for any upset caused...

Bonus if you give the reaction of the others- confusion- is he converting? Or maybe they worry Aramis will leave them for his faith...

Seconded! I thought the way Aramis put a coin in the collection plate towards the end was indicative of the respect he has for all, even though it was not *his* church. Could totally see this happening. Could make a lovely story.
From: (Anonymous)
I'm dying at the idea of Louis stitching someone up. Maybe his carriage is attacked and he and one of the musketeers get separated from the others, but the musketeer is wounded in the process and has to talk Louis through stitching him up. :)

+1

I love it when we've seen them fight with other "weapons" of convenience. Porthos and the fork! And I love how Aramis is often shown fighting with the weapon his opponent was using - like when he was attacked with the chain, and then was seen fighting with said chain.

I've said it before and I'll say it again- Aramis is a weapons thief! Lol

Love this prompt tho. I did wonder why Athos and Aramis fought back with books in A Rebellious Woman but then I suppose they wouldn't risk injuring innocent women by wielding swords around...There must be other situations...

I wondered about that too - I kind of assumed it was so they didn't accidentally kill one of the Cardinal Guard's and get in trouble for it. ???
From: (Anonymous)
I love this and Oooo the Cardinal! That has potential. I could see him forced to stitch Athos (so that Athos will be able to heroically save them both, natch) in some life or death situation and they just never miss the opportunity to sass at one another, no matter how bad it gets.

Gifts of Love

BrOT3, possible OT3.

Three times two of them gave their third a very special gift that made them realise for the first time just how much they were loved.

Gifts don't have to be physical objects.

This grew out of an idea I had about how Aramis came by his pistols.

So, at one time Aramis had a very beautiful, expensive set of duelling pistols (probably won in a shooting contest or a gift from a nobleman whose life he saved), but he somehow lost them. Athos and Porthos combine resources and eventually present him with a new pair, specially commissioned and as finely balanced as possible. Between them they designed the scrollwork on the barrels and Porthos somewhere found a length of (musketeer) blue silk to wrap them in - which is the sash Aramis now wears. Beautiful as they are, the pistols are nowhere near as fancy as the ones they replaced (though actually much better crafted), but to Aramis they are absolutely priceless.

For Porthos, I thought that maybe when Athos and Aramis find out he doesn't know when his birthday is and has therefore never celebrated it, they choose a date for him and do everything in their power to make it the best day of his life.
Hugs and manly tears when Porthos tells them that it has been a wonderful day, but not quite the best of his life, as that was the day he met his two brothers.

And then I ran up against a brick wall when trying to think of something for Athos (that didn't involve sex, not that I have any problem with a filler taking that option). So I'd have to leave that to the imagination of any kind author who decides to write this.

lessons in lovemaking for Aramis

From: (Anonymous)
I would like to see a teenage Aramis, say eighteen or so, arriving alone in Paris and being taken under the wing of a wealthy older woman, who teaches him how to be a skilled lover. (Maybe she also has friends who call on her, and so Aramis learns to be skilled at threesomes, and possibly one of them is also a gentleman and so he picks up some skills there too ;)

No non-con, or dub-con. Maybe the odd, unsure but willing to give it a go with some encouragement moment!

I am in the process of writing a very similar scene to the one you describe for an unrelated fic! (Though I am replacing the weapons he has in the series) I will be posting it on here and AO3. Maybe it will tide you over until you get a proper fill?

Tréville, scars

Date: 2014-09-16 03:32 pm (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
I love scars' stories and we have some really good ones in this fandom. Only this time, I'd want a story about the Captain's scars (the ones on his face but feel free to make up some.)
From: (Anonymous)
I think the Cardinal would gnash his teeth at the idea of having to stitch up any of the four musketeers, but can see him feeling particularly disgruntled if it were Athos or Aramis. Worse if it were both.

Underworld

Date: 2014-09-16 05:12 pm (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
I'd be really interested in seeing an Underworld-esk story.

In a world where Marcus took the reigns of power by turning the kings and queens of Europe, where Corvinus' third son corrupted the Church through magic, and William created a line of superior wolves, capable of guarding this new world, the Lycans.

The monarchy, and most royalty for that matter, are vampires. They're day protectors consist of two groups; the Musketeers (Lycans) and the The Church (the human Red Guard lead by the Cardinal). On occasion, a king will reward a Lycan with land a title for services to the crown, as with the de'Athos family.

No non-con or major character death.

Athos/d'Artagnan, Athos/d'Artagnan and Aramis/Porthos, or Aramis/d'Artagnan/Athos/Porthos

more complicated poly!

Date: 2014-09-16 08:16 pm (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
There's been a lot of really great "everyone falls into bed" fic, but I'd love to see some more complicated poly relationships. Poly Vs instead of equilateral triangles! Maybe d'Artagnan and Constance join in and want some of the musketeers but not others, or maybe some characters are asexual or gay (those two might take some AUing, but that's cool), or some people's kinks line up and some don't, or some of the participants are just not into some of the others like that.

I'd love to see this in a happy and functional way, where all of the intense platonic bonds are still there even between people who aren't involved, but the sexual dynamics are a little more complicated than your average puppy pile.
From: (Anonymous)
Maybe not instant BFFs or exceptionally affectionate, but anything with some other Musketeers beyond Treville and the Inseparables, or some Musketeer apprentices being kind/friendly/protective toward D'Artagnan.

Re: young!d'Argetan

Sexual and emotional maturity was considered to happen much younger in the 17th C. Anne was betrothed to Louis at 11, and they married when she was 14. Louis took power from his mother aged 16 and was allowed (nominally) to run the country. While fictional, the boy d'Artagnon was based on appears to have been about fourteen when the book was set, while the other three were in their early twenties.
So... This prompt is entirely plausible.

Excellent idea!

I like the thought of someone being able to go to A to be dominant, then going to B to be submissive, then going to C for something a little bit more adventurous. And all the combinations in between. So wanting this.

Silent Paris (AU, crossover Silent Hill, horror)

Date: 2014-09-18 09:00 pm (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
Sometime after episode 10 the Cardinal is desperate, humiliated, but most of all angry! He's so pissed he gets a bit 'unconventional' in his methods for his revenge against those who have wronged him as well as his want for France to be an unstoppable power. But by curse, black magic or some anchient artifact of dark power he had Milady find him he unleashes a frightening darkness that transforms Paris. Think Silent Hill level of scary monsters and creepy stuff, instead of the sirens going off its the tolling of bells.

d'Artagnan happened to be on a simple mission to deliver something for Treville outside of Paris, so he was gone when the Cardinal's curse took place, so when he comes back he is in for a nasty surprise. As for Treville and our three Inseparables, they two have been transformed into frightening and very dangerous creatures (come on you know you want to see what kind of bad-ass monsters like Pyramid-head they would be). If they are dangerous, ambivalent or helpful to d'Artagnan is up to you.

Gen or all pairings welcome, though I am rather partial to Porthos/Aramis, otp3 and d'Art/Constance. Hell, Richelle/Treville would be amazing in this AU. Horror, creepy, disturbing- but happy ending please!

Meetings on a Train (public transport AU)

Date: 2014-09-18 09:20 pm (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
I have met a lot of people on the train to\from work. Some who you go out your way to save a seat for, few that do the same for you. Others that are just the nod of the head acknowledgement. The odd alliance forged when abandoned somewhere en route and joining forces to get home. Occasionally being squashed into some strangers personal space.

Basically the guys forming a friendship (or more) while on the way to work and on the way home.

Any pairing is welcome :)
From: (Anonymous)
A group of ruthless killers are stalking the streets of Paris, their many victems being the supposed 'unwanted' of society. Mostly prostitutes, gypsies, Jews, pick-pockets, and many of the various residents from the Court of Miracles. At first no one cared, but after rummors began to spread and the sheer amount of victims began piling up, word eventually reaches even the King's ears, who tells Treville to catch the killers and bring them to justice. Who of course has the Musketeers on the case, unfortunately nothing has worked in catching the murders so far, so Treville with his two most trusted Musketeers Athos and Porthos (and the newly commissioned d'Artagnan) decide to set a trap for the killers.

But since this is so dangerous they need someone who understands the risks and can protect themselves to go undercover and act as bait for the killers. And since the bad-guys had thus far spotted all of their previous attempts of disguising various Musketeers and even a few Red Guards as bait, Treville decides to get some outside help and calls in a favor from one of his old army friends.

So it is that Athos and Porthos meet the seductive dark-eyes career solder and sharp-shooter Aramis, who Treville had actually tried to recruit when the Musketeers had first been created. The soldier utterly clicks with the two Musketeers, and even though d'Artangan is a newly commissioned Musketeer its obvious that Aramis is just more calm and seasoned and its understandably a bit irritating how quickly both Athos and Porthos except, respect and work with the newcomer, as for Aramis and Porthos... Lets just say there is undeniable attraction (he even lets Porthos pierce his ear and do others things). With the help of Porthos' many connections to the Court of Miracles Aramis goes undercover as a gypsy and they set the trap.

Think of Aramis dressed something along these lines as a visual: http://media-cache-ec0.pinimg.com/736x/88/a0/51/88a0513283c97a32ebb07ebabeabae87.jpg

Treville & Porthos

From: (Anonymous)
Howard Charles mentioned in an interview that Porthos views Treville as a father figure. So something along those lines?

Treville being protective over Porthos or the other way around. Mentoring, mutual respect, idk just anything (gen) with the emphasis on Treville and Porthos's relationship. :)
