After avenging his father's death, d'Artagnan realises he's now a wolf without a pack and can't bring himself to go back to Gascony. Taking up lodgings at the Bonacieux residence, where they house the supernatural on the sly, d'Artagnan decides to hang around Paris to figure out what to do next.
Eventually, with his growing friendship with the musketeers, his wolf form starts to view them as pack and tags along with them during the full moon. They're freaked out at first with this wolf following them around, but get used to it pretty quickly once they realise it's harmless. One day d'Artagnan gets shot in wolf form and shifts back in front of the others.
I've just had this mental image of wolf!d'Artagnan having Porthos back in fights, looking cute to help Aramis land women and keeping Athos company during patrols or when he drinks too much.
Bonus if Constance isn't human either. What she is I leave to you.
