Maybe in one scenario he outwits his captors, in another he talks them to death, and in a third he gets massively beat up before the other musketeers can negotiate his release. Something along those lines. Maybe with a +1 where he takes the bad guy hostage instead? And negotiates the release of Athos, Porthos and d'Artagnan?
