This is the post where you get to chat.

Talk about anything you want, Musketeers related or not.

Be respectful, do not start wank and drama. If something does arise, please send a message to the account. I'll get to dealing with it as soon as possible.

This meme is an original vs. adaptations argument-free zone.

It's late here, and I think I'll go to bed or something before I loudly and publicly flounce (with corresponding anonfail, of course), because the wank is making me want to run run awwwaaaaay. And I have fills I'm in the middle of.

Ah, get some sleep! But I do hope you stick around. I'm doing a few fills myself - I'm just going to ignore the wank and hope it goes away (that always works, right?).

You've not spent much time in Marvel fandom, have you?

But yes, I'll go to bed, and write in the morning. Once I figure out what to do now that the show's scooped my fucking plot.

Nah, but I did dip my toes into Sherlock fandom when it was still a baby!fandom. Dear goodness, the wank...

Label it an AU! (I have also spent a lot of time in Whedon fandoms. Trust me, I have learned to roll with being Joss'd!)

You win with Sherlock fandom. Oh, THE WANK!

It's more that they just did something I was planning to do pretty much exactly, so now I have to come up with something else, or be boring. Oh well. Options abound.

GOING TO BED NOW. I MEAN IT!

Well, hell. I never could get a handle on those acronyms.

Sherlock was insane. I finally ditched it after a prompt was posted asking for a slashfic with me and a few other people who hung out on the meme - as in, we were the pairing. It was ... surreal. And disturbing.

Ah - yeah, I haven't been able to watch the past few episodes, so, yeah, I hate it when that happens. I wrote one like that, and the episode aired after, so everyone thought I had just wrote a fic of the episode and I had to tell them, "No, actually, mine came first..."

Heh, go to bed! Shoo! I am a terrible influence.

(Also, what fills are you working on, if you've posted them? I'd like to read them!)

Some memes have an acronym list at the top, which is helpful. Took me a while too, and I still use the wrong one when I'm punchy.

That does sound weird. Never go on Norsekink. Just don't.

I haven't quite decided what to do, but I think the story will be more interesting for the change.

I'm not up. I'm just getting a glass of water :D

(I'm did Gratuity, and now I'm doing Heir of Dust and Ruin. So Athos angst. If you're into that kind of thing. Thinking of doing Athos/Constance next).

The Norsekink... do I want to know?

You wrote Gratuity, you lovely person you! I loved that one. I haven't seen the Heirs one but I'll find it now. Of course, now you really mustn't leave. I like your writing too much!

Also, I'm writing this on my phone at work, so apologies if there's any wonkiness afoot.

You don't want to know.

Oh, thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I need to get to polishing that to post to AO3.

I'm not going to leave. I was just tired and annoyed last night. Some very nice, even-handed modding has smoothed all ruffled feathers on my part.

What fills are you working on?

Yeah, I finally gave up and posted them as is (with some minor editing) to A03. I'm far too lazy to actually edit them.

Good night's sleep does wonders!

Oh, geez. I have one ongoing (http://bbcmusketeerskink.dreamwidth.org/774.html?thread=524294#cmt524294) - but I've filled... hang on:

*shrugs* This fandom has inspired me. It's been a while since I've written quite so prolifically.

Oh yay! I commented positively on several of those (and mostly haven't gotten around to reading the rest).

I also did Cassoulet, which I now realise probably wasn't a food in 1630 because the beans are from the new world and may not have worked that deeply into rural France, but OH WELL.

I have this very vague idea of what life was like in France during that time period and then just wing the rest. It's been working out for me so far.

I think everyone's a pretty forgiving bunch, as far as historical accuracy goes (which, you pretty much have to be for the show... afsjkdlaj)

Now I have to track down that one to read!

Haha. I'm horrible about research. I've been getting library books. I keep telling myself that it's Musketeers fic and nobody cares (No one believes in witches in 1630!), but I can't help myself. Your approach sounds a lot more restful.

If you were the one who just left that lovely long comment, thank you very much. If not, I really enjoyed chatting with you anyway :D

I work at a library and they can always tell what I'm into now because they keep telling me, "X, you had some books come in... are we into 17th century France now?"

But I've usually moved on before I can actually incorporate that research into my fic. And yes, the witches thing. I just covered my face and laughed, because yeah.

I did indeed - I really do enjoy your writing style so much! ♥ I've had fun chatting with you, too!
