Welcome to the BBC The Musketeers kink meme

The lowdown: You post your prompt, anon or not. Someone else will hopefully fill it (also anon or not). Not for profit, just for fun. And in this case, for king and country.

Anon is on, IP logging is off.

Rules:
No wank
No kink-shaming
Be respectful to everyone
The mod is not your babysitter
Use the warnings

Mandatory trigger warnings/warnings for both prompts and fills:
non-con/dub-con
abuse (physical and mental)
issues such as racism, sexism, homo-/trans-/-bi-/ace-phobia etc
character death
suicide
self-harm
eating disorders
extreme physical or mental illness
substance abuse (alcohol, drugs, medication)
bullying
gore and horror

If this list misses anything, do let me know, though please understand that if absolutely everything is added this list will never end.

You are encouraged and advised to add additional warnings at your own discretion.

Please make use of the subject line.

If your prompt alludes to the book or any of the other adaptations, please let us know which one.

Lastly, prompt freezes (which I have to say I’m really not fond of) etc will be at the mod’s discretion. I will decide on a prompt cut-off point for prompt posts once I know how fast the meme moves.

Rule addition: No more discussions on the prompt post. If you want to discuss something, we have a discussion post. If you want to wank about a prompt, that's not what the discussion post is for. That's what your scroll bar and that little red x in the top corner of your browser is for.

Constance/Anne Bodyguard

Date: 2014-03-06 08:05 am (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
Queen Anne is in danger, and the Musketeers decide to put a bodyguard on her around the clock. As they can hardly stick a man inside her bedroom (outside the doors, yes), Constance gets the job (being all sword trained now). Spending all that time in each other's company, Constance and Anne realise they have certain desires in common.

Would especially love something with a bit of running about and fending off assassins! Also porn.

Constance fighting bad guys and getting the girl? Yes, a thousand times yes.

Constance/any/all the Musketeers

Date: 2014-03-06 12:22 pm (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
In the last episode when Aramis walked in on Constance with her corset undone she exasperatedly said 'Don't Musketeers ever knock!'. The way she said it made it sound like its happened more than once, so I now have a head-canon that none of them ever knock, which has lead to some rather compromising positions.

Aramis/Any or Gen, Massage.

From: (Anonymous)
I don't even know if massage was a thing in 17th Century France, but I imagine if anyone knows how to work the knots out of tense and aching muscles it's Aramis. So let's see him giving one of his friends a massage.

Or maybe a 3 times Aramis gave someone a massage & one time someone returned the favour?

“Don’t you love when a plan comes together?”

Athos is the man with a plan and a drinking problem, Aramis is a terrible flirt and organizational genius and Porthos loves his car almost as much as he loves his crazy friends. d’Artagnan isn’t sure how he ever ended up with the three of them, but that’s never stopped him before. Together, they are the A-Team.

Can be origin story or any mission the boys take on, really. I just need to see this happen.

Is it bad that I want this in period, like their outlaws from the king and Cardinal, doing a robin hood kind of thing?

Porthos/Aramis or Gen - Slow to Forgive

Date: 2014-03-06 02:37 pm (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
I've seen a lot of fic where Porthos is very understanding of the fact that Aramis killed Charon to save his life. It's the right thing to do, but head and heart are two different matters entirely.

In other words, I'd love to see a fic where Porthos knows he shouldn’t be too harsh on Aramis but can't bring himself to forgive him just yet. Cue lots of guilt on both sides before they make up.

What if the duke of Savoy recognised Aramis from the fight? After all, his side were masked, but the musketeers were not.

He must still feel angry about that attempted murder years ago, and here is one of those damned musketeers from that night, one who got him deep enough across the back to scar, even though he was sure they were all killed.

What would he do?

Musketeers Werewolf AU

Date: 2014-03-06 09:47 pm (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
Set in a world where everyone is a werewolf.

D`Artagnan is still new in Paris and it`s the first full moon since he`s got there.
Now not having any pack to be with nore daring to encroach upon any packs he chooses to stay alone and keep out everyones way.

However Alpha wolf Athos is not having that, nore are Wolf Aramis and Wolf Porthos, who scent out the Pup D`Artagnan, leading to a frightend chase through Paris before finally managing to catch up with Pup D`Artagnan and bring him into their small pack.

Big Bonuses for
Athos mating with D`Artagnan in wolf mode
Mutual grooming and sniffing
Puppy piles as the dawn approches

Louis Overhears Everything

Date: 2014-03-07 02:34 am (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
Pretty much what it says on the tin. Marie and the Cardinal were talking quite loudly just outside his door, after all. I want Louis' reaction to knowing he's a younger twin and that he's lost a brother and nephew before he could know them. Oh, and that his mother tried to usurp once again and was supported by the nobility because no one (save perhaps Treville, Richelieu, and Anne) believes he is or can be a good king.

Bonus for him telling Anne and she helping him through it.

Re: Louis Overhears Everything

Date: 2014-03-07 03:24 am (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
Yes that's what I thought too, like, how on earth did he not hear them - are the walls really that thick?
And maybe he goes along with it still, not letting richelieu know, but he finds one of the Musketeers and asks them about his nephew and whether he thinks that the boy will be happy and stuff.

Richelieu, Aramis is his son

Hi,
basically what it says in the subject line:
Aramis is the son of Richelieu and they both know it.

Maybe you could write a 5 times they did not behave like fahther and son and the 1 time they did. Or whatever else comes to mind.

Bonus Points for OT3 and others finding out :-)

Thanks!

Athos/d'Artagnan, Sentinel AU

Date: 2014-03-07 03:21 pm (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
Athos was her guide. It was his sacred duty to support and cherish her as his sentinel, but his duty to family and France had to come first. He would spend the rest of his life atoning for the betrayal of that bond no matter the cost. Athos never expected the young Gascon sentinel thrown into his life, nor the stirrings of bond between them.

Gen, Richelieu's heart grows three sizes bigger

Date: 2014-03-07 04:17 pm (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
So, this is inspired by the duel in episode 4 where Richelieu watches Athos duel the duke, and also the hints in upcoming trailers about further interaction between the two. Also, the fact Richelieu knows Anne has it in for Athos, and why-and maybe the belief that Richelieu is more human than he appears on the outside, although he'd never show it naturally.

Prompt: For some reason, Richelieu has to choose between doing the political thing-saving his spy, milady-or the right thing-saving Athos. He chooses Athos. Maybe because he respects him. Maybe because he secretly hates Milady
for her crimes. Maybe because he knows Athos is a goodman. Maybe just for reasons. Basically, really does care Richelieu saving Athos for some reason. Any reason.

Aramis whump, slash or gen

Date: 2014-03-07 06:47 pm (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
Shameless Aramis whump, with Porthos or any of the others tending to him. Aramis has shown a penchant for going off alone when he feels the situation warrants, I'd like to see him get in over his head and needing rescue, stern reprovals along with the care most welcome!

Sealed With A Kiss

Date: 2014-03-08 01:11 am (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
“Aramis!”

Aramis had a habit of ducking away in the middle of battle for feats of daring and cunning, things that would have Athos furious with him. In truth, it meant that he could escape away from the throng of things where he worried over what a stray musket ball or the pierce of a sword would do to the frailty of vital organs.

So he ventured to the edges of the battle and he learned that an impulsive action often won the battle. Unfortunately, on the edge of battle, there were many opportunities for him to be caught off guard and despite his being the best shot in the Musketeers (by Porthos’ standards, which were very low), he soon had three people on him.

“Let’s see you escape from here,” one of the Spaniards hissed at him, their native tongue meaning the threads was intended for someone who clearly understood.

Aramis opened his mouth to retort, wanting to show that he wasn’t scared, but he had no time for it.

That was when the blade sliced through him, skewering him in his shoulder as though he were a morsel of food. Aramis staggered back, his quip now silent on the tip of his tongue. Aramis felt his knees weaken, but he switched his pistol to his other hand, firing off a shot before dropping it, knowing he couldn’t reload.

Instead, he used his sword to clumsily bat away his opponents. His strikes were weak and though he was able to stop one, he was quickly fumbling as he tucked a hand over his wound, staggering backwards.

The edge of battle, however, was not entirely the edges of the wild and it was from the centre of the skirmish that his salvation came. “Away!” Porthos growled, running without a single hint of stopping. Aramis’ attacker was shocked by the sheer gall of his new opponent and was entirely unprepared for Porthos’ large fist accosting his face.

It took no sword at all to put him down.

“My hero,” Aramis quipped, though the pain from his shoulder caused a small burble of pain to escape past his lips. Porthos crowded him, his hands supporting his waist cautiously as he fumbled to pry his hat off, following by his bandanna, ripping out the elegant braiding that Aramis himself had done. “Must you ruin everything?”

“Would you rather I don’t save your life?” Porthos retorted.

Aramis sighed, as though this were a great decision to be made. “I suppose it will do,” he said with a flair of a gesture, hissing as Porthos laid him to the ground. He hissed when Porthos didn’t lay him down quite as gently as he might have liked, cursing at him with all the passion he could summon.

The wound was sapping his energy and robbing his defenses.

It was this excuse he held for why he felt his tongue loosen as though he had drunk a bottle of wine. “I’m glad it was you,” he murmured, watching as Porthos forcibly ripped his shirt off. “Mind my shirt! You don’t have to tear it apart to get to the wound!”

“You do things your way, I do ‘em mine,” Porthos replied, beginning to staunch the bleeding with the bandanna as he straddled Aramis to get close enough to properly keep the wound from bleeding. “Glad it was me?”

“I like watching you beat people with your fists,” Aramis confessed with a great fondness. “They never seem to expect it, though they ought to, looking at you.”

“Are you saying I’m a brute?”

“I’m saying there’s more strength in your hands than in the walls that held up Rome for centuries.”

Porthos scoffed, shaking his head. “Bleeding out and it’s nothing but poetry. I shouldn’t be so surprised.”

“Is he all right?” Athos shouted, from where the fray had calmed.

“He can’t move until I mend him, but I’m sure he’ll recover when he gets within ten feet of a pretty lass,” Porthos called back, but it was no pretty lass that Aramis had his eyes on. He sucked in air sharply as Porthos shifted in his lap, mumbling apology when he mistook Aramis’ interest for pain. Porthos turned his attention back to Aramis, cautious not to put too much pressure. “You figure you can walk me through a stitch or two?”

“Get my kit and I’ll show you to patch me up like a fine set of drapes.”

Aramis let out a soft sound of disappointment when Porthos rose off him, leaving him to fetch his kit after pressing the bandanna into Aramis’ hand and forcing him to tend to his own wound. He bowed his head lower, counting under his breath until Porthos returned with the leather satchel that Aramis kept with him at all times.

“You’ve done this enough for me that I ought to know how, by now,” he said, sliding his fingers over Aramis’ chest to part the already torn linens, giving way to the scar-bespectacled canvas of his skin.

Aramis swallowed hard, lying flat on his back on the muddy ground. He would require a hot bath to make himself feel human again and while there was always someone pretty enough to do it, he wanted Porthos at his side tonight. Those great hands of his did more than simply vanquish foes. They were always gentle and kind, when need be.

In truth, he had learned a great deal from observation alone. He patched up the wound with quite a show of expertise, wrapping his bandanna over the stitches when done.

“Can you ride?”

Aramis considered the question, but Porthos had made up his mind before even hearing an answer.

“Of course not,” he said. “You’ll come with me. Can’t trust you on your own or you do something stupid like get yourself into trouble, trying to be a hero,” Porthos grunted, hauling Aramis up from the ground and wrapping his arm around Aramis’ waist. “You can’t keep doing that, Aramis. You’ll drive me to an early grave of worrying.”

“I can’t stay in the thick of things,” Aramis admitted, taking care that his kit and all his clothes and weapons were travelling with them. “You distract me far too much.”

“Me?”

It appeared Aramis was still too free with his words. “If it’s not watching you fight, it’s worrying about the next blade that might find its way into your skin. I find it far easier to separate myself, do dashing deeds from afar.”

Porthos’ grip on Aramis tightened, slightly. “There’s another solution, you know.”

“Is there?”

“Fighting back to back, I should think,” Porthos murmured. “You watch my back, I get yours, and we don’t worry.” He paused, glancing over to where Athos and D’Artagnan were tidying up. When he was assured their attention was elsewhere, he clasped Aramis with one strong hand, cupping his jaw, and kissed him possessively and furiously, as if a breath of life. “Deal?”

“Sealed with a kiss,” Aramis murmured, feeling rather lightheaded. “How can I say no to such a binding contract?”

Though, it seemed rather cheap to accept only one kiss.

“Perhaps another dozen kisses,” he negotiated.

“Later,” Porthos said, clapping Aramis firmly on the small of his back. “You’ll get ten times that.”

So Constance has been occasionally helping out the musketeers when needed, and after one fight or another that they get her caught up in she walks in on Aramis and Porthos in a compromising position. She leaves, shocked, but not before they see her. Obviously, it being 1630's in a Catholic country, they want to make sure she is discreet with this new information, so they send Athos after her to explain that it isn't exactly what she thinks. That after the heat and rage of a good fight, they sometimes just need a little release, in a purely animal, sex with a good friend sort of way. while they discuss it, she needles it out of him that he's joined in a couple of times, then convinces him to demonstrate on her how the friends with benefits thing works. Bonus points for them all ending up in bed together at some point. You can include d'Artagnan if you like but I have a feeling they wouldn't have got round to corrupting his pure, naive, country mind yet.

Athos/Milady - Torture and Conflicted Milady.

Date: 2014-03-07 11:28 pm (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
Milady finally gets revenge on Athos by kidnapping and touching him for days, keeping him tied up while she slowly breaks him, as retribution for what he did to her. But at the end of every night when she tells herself it's time to go, she can't. Instead she tends to his wounds, feeds him and comforts him. She also takes her pleasure from his body, reveling in the fact that after all they've put each other through, he'll still respond to her, still loves her, even though they'll both pretend it didn't happen in the morning.

Slutty!d'Artagnan, Any Paring(s)

So apparently there's not a lot to do in Gascony other than drink and have a ridiculous amount of sex, and d'Artagnan's only mores in that regard of "no adultery and getting anyone pregnant." He's frustrated by how complicated everything is in Paris, and just wants to get laid, dammit. Everyone else is surprised that their innocent farmboy has done things that would make Aramis blush.

Porthos/Aramis, speaking Spanish

Date: 2014-03-08 11:14 am (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
I don't know where this came from, but I suddenly got the image of Aramis speaking Spanish, and Porthos reacting the way Gomez Addams does whenever Morticia busts out some French. Maybe this is a thing they're discovering for the first time? Maybe it's something Aramis is doing because he knows full well how Porthos reacts? Amuse me, anon!

Gen, fluff - Brothers

From: [personal profile] raouldehadleyfraser
Childhood in the La Ferre household.
Olivier (Athos) doing big brother things with Thomas
the two of them being cheeky little brats. running through the halls and tormenting the servants (maybe there's a reason that they made him uncomfortable now?)
Exasperated parents.
Athos being happy and full of life for once
to Thomas, his big brother is like a grand and magnificent mountain, so strong and brave and amazing, while he's just a little pebble, too little to do anything of importance. Which is why he calls himself Athos - the name of a mountain, after his brother's death.
Oh dear, I made myself sad. ignore the last part. just happy childhood Athos - k?

Seconded. So. Badly.
From: (Anonymous)
So, while researching French table etiquette for a fic, I came accross a site that mixed up the stories of Louis XIV banning sharp knifes from the streets and dinner tables to reduce violence, with the ones about Cardinal Richelieu forcefully introducing the blunted table knife because he was disgusted by the (lack of) table manners of the time.

So ... I would love for someone to write that alternative story which ends in Richelieu inventing the blunted table knife because of a dinner party gone violently and horribly wrong (or horribly right). And of course if ever such a wild party took place our four musketeers would have been there, possibly being responsible for the ban on sharp tableware in the first place.

Bonus points for weird Richelieu/Treville + musketeers family dynamics (Treville as exasperated papa!musketeer is always appreciated)
From: (Anonymous)
Did run into the story where Richelieu IDed a commoner pretending to be a noble because he ate an olive with a fork, which etiquette books advocated by no one ever actually did?

Athos/d'Artagnan, Wrong side of the tracks

Date: 2014-03-08 07:04 pm (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
They could be teenagers who meet at a house party only to find the other comes from the opposite side of the train tracks. Bonus points for Aramis being dubious of the relationship, while Porthos is a soppy romantic mess!

Or maybe they're adults, whose paths cross when short-con artist d'Art literally crashes into wealthy businessman Athos. I'm thinking maybe something Curly Sue-ish?

Anything that address a gap in the wealth of the two characters.

Buried Alive d`Artagnan/Athos

Milday leanrs of d`Artagnan and Athos relationship, and is both jealous and angry over it.

She captures d`Artagnan and buries him alive under the tree she was hung from, inside a wooden box with only enough air to survive for a a shirt time.

She then leads Athos on a desperate search to find his missing lover before the air runs out, but even if he does find d`Artagnan in time simply digging him up will be the least of the problems as Milday has rigged the ground about the ress with explosives and if the box is opened a blade on a trigger mechanism is set to slice d`Artagnan in half.

This is a take from the CSI episodes Grave Danger, I`d love to see a frantic Athos searching everywhere for d`Artagnan and d`Artagnan clawing at the wooden lid tearing his nails and then the Musketeers trying to find a way to get him out safely without blowing themselves and him up or slicing him open

On the Run/Outlaws Any Pairing

Our boys finally push the Cardinal too far and the king can't or won't protect them. They end up on the run from the law, either inside Paris or out in the countryside. They end up forming this Robin Hood/Leverage style mini band of outlaws who help people being prayed on by the system.

I'd love it if Constance was their contact with Treville (who's working to redeem them), and if she got to go on adventures sometimes too.

Porthos/Athos to OT3, Aramis joins the team

From: (Anonymous)
Porthos and Athos are a thing before they meet Aramis, or they know Aramis, but he's always hanging out with Marsac, so they don't know him well. When Marsac deserts, Treville starts assigning a shell shocked Aramis to do stuff with them.

Starts out as resenting a third wheel, and ends including him in everything. I'd love it if Athos wants to back away and let the other two be with each other, and they're all, "No, you idiot, threesome!"
