Her name is Chantal d`Artagnan, she is dressed as a man as it is safer for a woman to travel as a man than otherwise, when her Father is killed she goes to avenge his death and Kill the Musketeer Athos only to find he is not the murderer and ends up clearing his name.

After fighting d`Artagnan assuming she is a man the Musketeers are shocked to find out her true gender when she is thrown to the ground during the fight, shocked and impressed by her swordsmanship.

While a woman can not officialy be a Musketeer, she can help them on missions, train with them, and officialy tend their horses to give a decent reason for her presence at the garrison.

Also Athos finds himself inexplicably drawn to Chantal, after everything he went through with Milady he swore off women but now he finds he can`t resist.

But a young woman alone in France, even one who can fight, is not safe, especialy when she goes on missions to undercover mad bombers, helps hide ex Musketeers, among other things, and of course there is the murderous ex wife, Chantal and Athos have their work cut out to make their relationship work.

Porthos is the one who knocks Chantal to the ground revealing she`s a woman and is horrified he`s hit a woman!
