You can use it to talk to me, ask me things, let me know when you want something deleted and if there's arguments going on on the meme.

Honestly, I have two views on this.

The general one which is not assuming that every person and character on the planet is cis and the kink meme one where I think it's not wrong and not too difficult to shoot the OP a quick question whether what you're writing still meets their prompt

But then I'd also not see it as strictly as like with a fic exchange. Since the prompt is open to the public and more than one person can fill it.

Tl; dr: I'm not going to make a decision on whether it's right or wrong or ok. I'm going to leave it up to authors and prompters to communicate over these things in a constructive and respectful fashion.

In this case, I am going to leave the decision up to you. You can fill it the way you wanted to with the the possibilities that the prompter might like it, not like it or be indifferent to it. Or you can ask the OP whether it's ok.

I agree with the wider world view.

But I really don't like the idea that it's allowed to turn slash prompts into het or other without asking.

Writing het for a slash prompt would be rude with cis characters, and is still rude with trans.

That is true. I do think the great majority of people do specify quite clearly when they want something else.

In the end, it's a discussion that could go on forever. Do we not ask or specify and just assume, then we're wrong for assuming everyone is cis. Do we not assume? Then the only key is communication.

The thing is, it wasn't a slash prompt. The OP only asked for one of the four to wet themselves and the others to look after them and there was no specification on how the characters interact with each other in any way

It changed the focus of the kink from a man to a person of a different gender, which is rude without knowing the sexuality or kink interests of the OP.

Interest in men wetting doesn't always mean interest in women or other genders wetting. Hence why asking is good.

Thanks for your commonsense, as ever.

I must say that reading this thread has made me hugely uncomfortable as it looks very much like one author in particular has been 'named and shamed' as in a fandom this small it doesn't take much to work out which fic has caused the perceived problem, which is too close to finger pointing for my liking.

I really don't think it's reasonable to 'police' how prompts are filled, and I very much support your stance.

I think everyone needs to be a bit more open, a bit more respectful, and a lot less reactive on all sides. This should be fun and it should be fun for everyone. Give and take.

Well said. I thought the punchline to this little piece of street theatre was the best part-- OP liked the fic, thanked Author!Anon politely for filling the prompt, and didn't make a big deal about it.
