The mod is not your babysitter
Use the warnings
No prompts with characters under the age of 16 in sexual situations, please.
Please keep the discussions in the prompt post to a minimum. We have a discussion post

issues such as racism, sexism, homo-/trans-/-bi-/ace-phobia etc
character death

If this list misses anything, do let me know, though please understand that if absolutely everything is added this list will never end.

You are encouraged and advised to add additional warnings at your own discretion.

Please make use of the subject line.

If your prompt alludes to the book or any of the other adaptations, please let us know which one.

Lastly, prompt freezes (which I have to say I’m really not fond of) etc will be at the mod’s discretion. I will decide on a prompt cut-off point for prompt posts once I know how fast the meme moves.

Announcement: A blanket spoiler warning is necessary for prompts pertaining to season 2. Just season 2 Spoilers in the subject line will do.

Season 2 Spoilers! TW: injury/hurt

(Anonymous) 2015-01-09 08:48 pm (UTC)(link)
So basically I thought it very unrealistic that Athos didn't get shot in that first episode, especially when that Spaniard was hiding behind the tree, he had a clear shot.
So, give me Athos being shot that time in the forest with Rochefort but Aramis and Porthos coming to the rescue when they hear the gun go off.

The hell with the King! season two spoilers Athos/d`Artagnan/Treville, Aramis/Porthos

(Anonymous) 2015-01-10 12:05 am (UTC)(link)
After the King shows just what a petulant childish fool he really is, instead of just standing there and taking it d`Artagnan gives him a mouthful, rips off his pauldron and storms out of the palace, swiftly followed by the others who each in turn tell Louis exactly what he can do with his commissions and opinions!.

The five men head out to Treville estates where they enjoy a new found freedom, planing new lives and new beginnings away from court and the King, Athos and Treville both admitting feelings for d`Artagnan and each other, and d`Artagnan feeling the same, (Aramis/Porthos established).

However after a few weeks/months Louis find out just how hard life is without his Captain and best Musketeers, since most of the regiment have deserted after being forced under Rocheforts command, and wishing to stand loyal to their captain and the inseparables.
For the first time in his life Louis learns true humility and has to plead for the Captain and Inseparables to return to Paris and service to him.

Athos and Treville and d`Artagnan would make a great three sum, some Daddy Kink with Treville, and maybe some spanking for d`Art!.

Plus I so wanted to kick the shit out of Louis after this episode!

Season 2 Spoilers: d'Artagnan hurt/comfort OT4/Brot4

(Anonymous) 2015-01-10 01:35 am (UTC)(link)
d'Artagnan had a pretty rough episode (ep.2) - the number of physical and emotional hurts was just too damn high! I would love to see some OT4/Brot4 comforting of him after he had been to see Pepin's wife. So taking care of any injuries, comforting him about his decision with the King etc...all the good hurt/comfort.

If filled as OT4 then there are bonus points for we-are-so-glad-we-found-you-and-you-are-ok sex ;)

(Series 2) Any pair Rochefort is D'Artagnan's father

(Anonymous) 2015-01-10 01:54 am (UTC)(link)
D'Artagnan is really familiar. Really, really familiar. And Rochefort can't work out why at first. Twenty one? Huh. From Gascony? Wow. A farm in Lupiac?... what a funny coincidence. Hey Constance, happen to know what D'Artagnan's mother's name is? Françoise? Pretty name. Very familiar pretty name.

He spots D'Artagnan with a woman outside the Garrison, he's a spitting image of her, and how could Rochefort forget the woman he had an affair with in his early spying days? Feisty Gascon woman living alone while her husband worked away, who killed his attackers, tended his wounds and slapped him when he got too mouthy.

This time he didn't even get the chance to say anything before she was slapping him. Turns out he left something behind after he carried on his mission.

x Rochefort attempts to be a father to D'Artagnan while not revealing it to anyone: sire he's a wonderful soldier I highly recommend him. Kill all the musketeers except that one. D'Artagnan you have a spot of blood just there here's a hanky. Your clothes are ugly I commissioned you new ones a tailor will be around later today. So Athos... what's D'Artagnan like? Why do I want to know? Oh no reason... but really what is he like?
xx Someone compliments D'Artagnan's espionage skills and Rochefort thinks 'he got that from me!'
xxx Something happens to D'Artagnan and Rochefort tries not to panic while he's twisting arms to get D'Artagnan rescued faster
xxxx Constance works it out, because she's an intelligent badass

LoTR Crossover

(Anonymous) 2015-01-10 03:19 am (UTC)(link)
We need a Musketeer/Tolkien-Crossover! Dont care if its a blending of the movies(books) or the Musketeers are simply in the same world.

We need Athos the grumpy self-exiled Ranger, who's also one of the last of the Dúnedain.

Porthos the half-Dwarven warrior, he gets his amazing strength, coloring and beard from his Dwarven mother and his impressive height from his human father.

Aramis the dark Elf.

d'Artagnan *shrugs* maybe a child of Man who had been raised by hobbits? Maybe he's left the Shire to join the Rangers.

Athos/d'Art, Portamis, otp3-4, gen all welcome

D'Artagnan gets turned into a kitten for a week. The trio, Treville and other musketeers find that there's not much difference to when he was a human anyways.
When he turns back he still retains the ears so they start calling him kitten in daily life (as well as in bed)

Season 2 Ep 2 spoilers

(Anonymous) 2015-01-10 08:49 am (UTC)(link)
Does it make me a terrible person if I want the story where all the plots and counter plots fail and Louis and d'Artagnan end up on a galley?

Gen, slash, anything is good. Happy ending, sad ending, angst; whatever you like.

Suggestions, take all or none!

+ Louis complains about the work and lack of food until he realises d'Artagnan's giving him most of his food and doing most of his work.

+ d'Artagnan has to protect Louis from other slaves as well as from their guards.

+ Louis' hair gets cut off.

+ d'Artagnan gets sick or injured and Louis has to try to take care of him.

Fill: Dreams unto an Exile (TW: Slavery, violence) 1/?

(Anonymous) 2015-01-19 10:17 pm (UTC)(link)
d'Artagnan runs out of comfort the day they step onto the galley.

Until then, he has been steadfast in his reassurances. The Musketeers are looking for him, he knows this as he knows his own name, and he’s certain they’ll be found. What slavers can possibly outwit the King’s finest?

Louis seems to be mostly in shock. He hasn’t spoken since Pepin’s death, shot because d'Artagnan wasn’t moving fast enough. Both are still spattered with blood – and other substances – despite d'Artagnan’s haphazard attempts at cleaning them during infrequent rest breaks.

d'Artagnan’s almost glad the king’s in shock. It makes him easier to handle.

He’s taken to calling the king Henri. It’s less obvious than Louis, and he can’t address him by title. Louis accepts it in numb silence.

The galley they board in Honfleur already has a crew and they’re herded down into the hold and chained to the wall. They’re packed uncomfortably close together; d'Artagnan is reminded sharply of the plans Bonnaire drew up, the ones that drove Porthos into such fury.

“d'Artagnan,” Louis says abruptly.

d'Artagnan twitches. He’s not foolish enough to think himself famous, but his commission was very public and the king has shown him off at court several times since, including to the Spanish Ambassador. It’s ridiculous, he knows, to think that because one Spaniard knows his name another will, but he’s terrified they’ll figure out who Louis is.

“It’s Charles, Henri,” he murmurs.

“I’m thirsty,” Louis says.

d'Artagnan swallows. “Yes.” Used to short rations, most of his water has gone to Louis, and most of what’s left has been used to clean them up.

Louis doesn’t seem to have anything else to say. d'Artagnan shifts slightly. “They need us able to work. They’ll bring something.”

“Not for a while yet,” someone says from several spaces away; d'Artagnan can’t see him in the gloom. “They’re weeding out the weak.”

“You’ll be fine,” d'Artagnan says mechanically; he’s not sure Louis is even hearing him.

Someone starts humming a funeral dirge, and d'Artagnan fights the urge to bury his head in his arms. One of them has to be aware.

He thinks it’s more than a day later when the guard finally appears. Louis has eschewed royal dignity to curl against him as best he can; d'Artagnan’s hot and uncomfortable in the muggy hold, but he hasn’t moved. The guard starts at the far end of the hold with a bucket and ladle. He’s oddly careful to spill as little as possible, but he skips straight over several men who are either dead or unconscious.

d'Artagnan jostles Louis as best he can. “Wake up,” he croaks, startled at the pain in his throat. He hadn’t thought he was that badly off yet.

He pokes and shoves Louis awake just as the guard reaches them. Louis gulps the couple of mouthfuls eagerly, seeming not to notice that he’s spilling on himself. The guard yanks the ladle away, dips it and turns to d'Artagnan.

“Give it to him,” d'Artagnan says. His throat’s burning and there’s a headache pounding behind his eyes, but Louis needs it more.

The guard snorts. “Every man gets his share and no more. Drink or go thirsty.”

d'Artagnan gives in, reaching for the ladle. The water’s stale and it tastes odd, but it eases his throat a little. The guard moves on and d'Artagnan leans back against the wall. “I’m sorry,” he murmurs.

Louis doesn’t answer.

Lethargy sets in too fast and too deep to be natural. d'Artagnan watches, dazed, as another couple of guards come in and begin removing the dead and unconscious men. Then they return and begin examining each of the remaining prisoners, talking to each other in Spanish and laughing.

They reach d'Artagnan first this time. He endures the inspection in silence; he’s already decided not to fight back unless he has to. As good as it would feel to hit back, he knows he couldn’t possibly win, and he can’t leave Louis here alone.

When they reach for Louis he pulls back in fear. d'Artagnan catches at the nearest arm, trying to block them, but he’s shaken off abruptly, backhanded into the hull behind him. The blow and the drug together prove irresistible, and he slides into darkness.

When he surfaces the room is pitch black and moving gently. He touches his head lightly, avoiding the most painful part. His fingers come back sticky.

His hair’s been shorn off, he notes absently.

Sitting up is far more painful than it should be; his ribs scream as he moves and he groans, pressing a hand against them. What happened?

“They kicked you,” Louis says abruptly. d'Artagnan jumps, and then stifles a curse at the flare of pain. “You were unconscious and they kicked you and laughed. I tried to make them stop.”

“Did they hurt you?” d'Artagnan asks when he can breathe evenly enough.

“They cut my hair.”

He senses a rant about royalty being sacrosanct coming on and moves to avoid it. “Mine too. Are you injured, Henri?”

d'Artagnan’s other neighbour shifts. “Will you two shut up? I’m trying to sleep.”

d'Artagnan manages to catch Louis’ eye before he responds. Grudgingly, he settles down. d'Artagnan’s left to find a position he can both breathe and sleep in.

It’s fitful, troubled sleep, and he feels no better when they’re woken by a guard coming down with food. It’s a different guard, but he stands over d'Artagnan to make sure he doesn’t try and give anything to Louis. They’re clearly already getting a reputation.

It’s hardtack, almost inedible. d'Artagnan forces it down, thinking fast. He needs to deal with this quickly.

“You speak French, monsieur?” He keeps his voice polite and his body language deferential. If the guard speaks no French, he’s in trouble; he knows a few Spanish words, courtesy of Aramis, but those particular words won’t help him here.

The guard laughs. “Should forget French, boy. No help where you’re going.”

“My friend…”

“He your master, boy. You a soldier, he a gent. Say it right.”

“My master,” d'Artagnan repeats unhesitatingly. “He’s – slow. He’ll work, but he needs me to show him first. He won’t understand if you tell him. Can you please tell your masters? We’re not making trouble, but we need to be together.”

The guard squats. “Slow in the head?” d'Artagnan nods. Louis is vibrating with anger beside him, but so far, at least, he hasn’t spoken. “Must be good master, you still trying to help him. No more pay for you now.”

“He’s a good master.”

The guard shoves to his feet. “No promises. I tell them.”

“Thank you,” d'Artagnan says, and then has to spend five minutes coaxing Louis to eat the hardtack under the guard’s curious eye.

“It keeps us together,” he murmurs as soon as the guard’s far enough away. “I can’t let them separate us, and getting myself killed protecting you won’t help. And this way I can show you what to do.”

”So I must be the simple one?”

“It would be hard to protect you if they thought I was simple,” d'Artagnan points out.

His neighbour shifts and d'Artagnan falls silent, trying to get some more rest while he can.

[Series 2 Spoilers] D'Artagnan becomes part of Pepin's family and gets called Papa

(Anonymous) 2015-01-10 12:08 pm (UTC)(link)
At first it's just dropping by to see how they are, giving them some money etc one a month.

But it becomes a regular thing, weekly and then eventually, daily. D'Artagnan even starts getting told stories of Pepin, and with time Pepin's wife stops crying during the stories and starts smiling at the memories.

Pepin's wife even cooks enough for him to eat with them each Friday. He's young enough for her to view him as a surrogate son, but old enough that Pepin's daughter starts viewing him as her foster father.

* Pepin's wife was pregnant at the time of his death, and the little girl/boy grows up calling D'Artagnan Papa
** Occasionally the daughter slips up, calling D'Art Papa and getting upset until he cheers her up again
Super * Sometimes Pepin's daughter just sits in the Garrison with her surrogate uncles watching them train eating food the cook gives her

Athos, branded as a criminal

(Anonymous) 2015-01-10 02:48 pm (UTC)(link)
I would prefer when it happened before he joined the Musketeers, maybe with the discovery of his brand costing him the trust and respect of the garrison he worked so hard to gain over the years.
I take whatever I will get, basically anything with Athos ending up branded is fine.

Past Lives possible series two spoilers Athos/d`Artagnan Porthos/Aramis

(Anonymous) 2015-01-10 05:15 pm (UTC)(link)
This is set very very loosely about The Mummy and I mean loosely.

In the nineteenth dynasty, the Pharaoh Ineni ruled the whole of upper and lower Eygpt with his queen Aneksi.

They were guarded by the medjai, the sacred body guards of the Pharaoh, the greatest of these being

A once Noble man turned soldier Amenken

A priest who has taken up the sword Ankhkhaf

An African slave risen to the ranks of Medjai Pawero

An orphaned farmers son Djedefhor

They serve under the Captain Theshen, and foil the plot of the high priest Rahotep and his mistress Menhet to kill the Pharaoe and steal the throne for themselves.

Menhet is hung for her crimes, while Rahotep is beheaded, but before the sword strikes his head off, he lays curse on the royal family promising to rise again in a future life, and destroy them, and enact revenge upon the Medjai who thwarted him.

Fearing this curse the medjai too conjoured a spell, to have their souls reawaken in new bodies when the evil priest should return to the world, so that they will remember their past lives, and once again slay him.

Now centuries later, in Paris, Rahotep rises in the body of Rcheilieu and his former mistress Menhet in Milady, both of them ready to seize the throne from Louis/Ineni and Anne/Aneksi.

However the Musketeers too have their souls awaken within them and are prepared to fight once more for their Pharaoh/King

Athos/Amenken

Aramis/Ankhkhaf

Porthos/Pawero

D`Artagnan/Djedefhor

Bonus

If they are only friends to begin with, but remember that they were lovers in their previous life, which leads them to become so again.

Season 2 Spoiler - Aramis's Thoughts

(Anonymous) 2015-01-10 11:04 pm (UTC)(link)
So going off of the ending of Episode 1 and the beginning of Episode 2, I'm at a loss as to how Aramis is still so willing to see the dauphin after his conversation with Athos regarding Adele. Perhaps someone would be able to have his thoughts on that? Such as the thoughts leading up to that night, perhaps his excuse to not be joining the others at the tavern, and maybe when he was in the room with dauphin and governess? Maybe even the memories that come up with the lullaby he sung?

Re: Season 2 Spoiler - Aramis's Thoughts

(Anonymous) 2015-01-10 11:38 pm (UTC)(link)
I'll +1 this, because I'd like to see this explored too, though for me Aramis's motivations are really obvious. He's not worried about people finding out, he's worried about who already knows and therefore might already be going after the dauphin, which is why Aramis asked if the dauphin was guarded day and night. The cardinal being already dead and promising to reveal things from beyond the grave - being a threat from beyond the grave - and therefore having already put things in motion based on whatever he suspected is a completely different playing field.

I still think Aramis shouldn't be hanging out with the dauphin, and especially not the queen, but I get the motivation.

Touch and consent, gen Aramis or slash Any/Aramis (and sth like 'accidental abuse', I think)

(Anonymous) 2015-01-10 11:10 pm (UTC)(link)
So Aramis is a very tactile person. He thrives on contact and likes being close to people, and he shows e.g. his support through light touches to people's arms or by companionably slapping a person's shoulder.
To a non-tactile person or somebody previously not used to much touching, this might be uncomfortable or it might even be seen as Aramis coming ont o them (which it really isn't).

And there could be "character X" (I'm thinking either Athos, Porthos or d'Artagnan, but Treville or anyone else who fits would be fine, too) who silently endures these friendly touches and has managed to hide that he feels weirded out by someone touching him in this casual, familiar way, until one Aramis!touch in a time where X is sad or stressed or distressed is meant as being supportive and meant to help X feel not-alone, but instead it's the touch that's the last straw, and the touch that makes X explode and push Aramis away and yell at him ("Stop touching me! DON'T touch me! I don't want your fucking hands on me!").

Aramis, of course, hadn't noticed until then that his touch was unwelcome. But he does understand boundaries and consent in all things, so he apologizes, earnestly, and says that he's really sorry and that he should have noticed; he promises he won't touch X again (maybe he has to apologize several times, because the first times X stormed away or wouldn't listen) and, true to his word, Aramis doesn't touch X again; he's still nice and as charming as ever, but he'll keep from touching X and won't even stand close to him, keeps an ever-respectful distance.
HOWEVER!
Compared to how close Aramis is with his friends, him keeping a respectful distance seems.. cold? Something like that. X notices that Aramis just IS that friendly, and that it's just ARAMIS, and that he now is the only one of Aramis' friends that doesn't get half-hugs or cheeky smiles accompanied by shoulder nudges, and he feels really left out and, after a while, desperately wants that touch back - and maybe also finds himself wanting to reciprocrate those touches, which is complicated, because now Aramis is always too far away for X to casually touch him, and every time he tries and manages to 'companionably' touch Aramis, his slap ends up too heavy, his grip too tight, his nudge too forceful, perhaps his attempts even leave bruises. Aramis doesn't complain and thinks it's only fair that X takes his frustration out on Aramis, a bit, because Aramis is the guilty party here, after all. He'll think of it as his penance and wait it out.

(maybe X also can't stop himself staring at Aramis and Aramis-touching-other-people, because with every passing day he notices how he really does want that, too, after all, and X is confused and jealous.

Aramis/others interpret that stare as anger or some other negative emotion. Maybe others want Aramis and X to make up, and so they leave them in scenarios where there's just the two of them, hoping that they'll talk out whatever is wrong, which maybe leads to awkwardness, and maybe leads to Aramis apologizing again, because he thought X was giving him those looks because X is still angry, or is angry on behalf of the other people he still touches, and Aramis tells him that he asked the others if they also minded Aramis touching them, and assures X that they told him they don't mind, and that Aramis respects everyone's wishes and X needn't worry about them, and that it's noble that he does worry about them or.. something. Idk. Things like that.)

It's up to you if X manages to tell Aramis that he didn't mean it when he exploded like that, that he takes back what he said, and that he really wants those touches back.
Gen or slash, I'll gladly take either (though I do love slash best). Angst is A+++ and always welcome. And, as this prompt is really specific, I'd also be happy about fills that are only a BIT like this prompt. "Aramis learns that his touch is unwelcome, so he stops touching that person" would make me happy, too. Whatever inspires you. Happy writing :D

Re: Touch and consent, gen Aramis or slash Any/Aramis (and sth like 'accidental abuse', I think)

(Anonymous) 2015-01-11 01:19 am (UTC)(link)
+1! I can definitely see something like this happening not long after Athos joins the Musketeers. Still off-set and prickly from what happened with his wife and brother, still in pain and aloof.

While Aramis is post-Savoy, mostly healed (thanks to Porthos' care) but unaware that he's still a bit clingy.

S2 Spoilers, Anne & Constance, best friends, cuddling, hand-holding

(Anonymous) 2015-01-10 11:15 pm (UTC)(link)
I loved the handholding in E2. Loved it!
Anne found a really close best friend in Constance and they love touching each other and they not only hold hands, but also lean against each other when reading/talking/doing whatever, and maybe they even cuddle together in bed, very un-queen-like.

Season 2 spoilers, Aramis angst

(Anonymous) 2015-01-10 11:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Aramis feels guilty for not having been there to help the others in episode 2.
It's not necessarily that he thinks he alone might have prevented the abduction and saved the day when the others couldn't, but his presence there would certainly have helped.

+ for Treville being disappointed in Aramis and letting him know/feel it
+ for the others also making him feel like he's let them down
+1000000 for Aramis angsting

optional happy ending, gen or slash

Season 2 Spoilers - Athos and Aramis bonding 3+1

(Anonymous) 2015-01-10 11:47 pm (UTC)(link)
So, I liked the consistency at the end of episode two this season, when it seemed there was going to be a bit of a siege/shootout that Athos ordered Porthos and d'Artagnan to go, planning for himself and Aramis to stay - it reminded me of Athos sending Porthos and d'Artagnan off in Knight Takes Queen. Which makes sense, Aramis is a better shot, and Athos being the leader would stay.

So now, I'd love a 3+1 fic. Three times exploring Athos and Aramis bonding while in a shootout/siege, and one time it unexpectedly Porthos and d'Artagnan instead.

Gen Crack? The little guy isn't that little

(Anonymous) 2015-01-11 12:57 am (UTC)(link)
So I've seen a lot of fics referring to Athos looking down at d'Artagnan, and d'Artagnan being described pretty much as the shortest one of the group.

Luke, and therefore d'Artagnan, is almost 6"2. Two inches taller than Athos and Aramis, who're both 6". I haven't been able to find out how tall Howard is, but in pictures next to Luke, Tom and Santiago (ones where they aren't strategically placed to make Luke look shorter) he's similar height to/not that much taller than Luke, I'm thinking an inch?

My point is, I'd love to see Athos or Aramis (or Porthos for that matter) make a short joke or fondly call d'Artagnan 'little one' and then realise... hang on, I'm looking at your chin/nose where are your eyes- Oh they're up there (in Porthos' case, wait a minute I'm looking you in the eyes this is weird I usually have to look down at people to do this...)

Bonus points if d'Artagnan usually slouches, and that combined with his lither form, makes him appear much shorter and smaller until he straightens his back

S2 Spoilers, Rochefort/Aramis, growing onse-sided obsession, creepiness, sorta bloodplay

(Anonymous) 2015-01-11 01:02 am (UTC)(link)
Aramis can't stop visiting the dauphin and the governess. He often visits them at night, sneaking in and out of the palace, ending up in places he oughtn't be.
Rochefort, also creeping around everywhere at all times, night and day, having secret meetings and all, catches Aramis in the dark.

He first thinks Aramis is an intruder and manages to take him by surprise by tackling him to the floor (or into a wall), and only barely keeps from stabbing him or slitting his throat, because he recognizes Aramis just in time. So he doesn't kill him, he just nicks his skin a little, and Rochefort finds himself shocked that he's drawn blood. The wound is not deep, but it's bleeding, and Rochefort presses his hand to it, automatically.

Then there's Aramis explaining his presence, making excuses, using his tryst with the governess as a cover, and to protect his secret, he'll have to 'kiss and tell', so he admits to that, while Rochefort is still basically lying on top of Aramis, holding him down and pressing his hand to the wound, fascinated by the blood (and the rabbit-quick pulse in Aramis' throat), staring at him and wondering why he didn't kill Aramis when he just had the chance and a perfectly good reason to kill him, too.

And then he realizes that he's relieved that Aramis is not dead; he realizes that he kind of respects Aramis, thinks of him as a good person - Rochefort saw Aramis praying for the enemy in ep1 and saw him be brave and loyal and funny and steady and reliable, and he wanted to hate all the musketeers, but somehow he doesn't, and he especially doesn't hate Aramis, and he really doesn't want him dead. At least for a little while longer, he wants Aramis alive, to look at him; to maybe play with him.

- so Rochefort says he understands, says he'll keep quiet about the affair and he understands all about true love, says it'll be their secret and he won't tell anyone else; and then he'll use that secret to get closer to Aramis. And he finally lets Aramis up, says sorry about hurting him and tells him to see to the wound, and lets him go.
And stares after him as Aramis leaves, he stares while plotting devious things already, and he brings his wet hand to his mouth and licks away Aramis' blood.

Rochefort, also creeping around everywhere at all times, night and day,

I really, really love this turn of phrase. And the prompt, too.

S2 Spoilers - Paranoid Aramis (Brot4 preferred, but anything's good)

(Anonymous) 2015-01-11 04:19 am (UTC)(link)
The one interview where Santi said Aramis would be in a really paranoid place after finding out about Adele provoked thoughts:

Can I get a fic that takes this paranoia to an extreme and extends it beyond his worry for the dauphin? Like, he sees threats everywhere, and is worried about what if the cardinal has people after his brothers as well? So he's always doubling back, afraid they're being followed. He's not sleeping because he's standing sentry outside Athos's room all night -- because that one guy in the tavern looked at him funny, and what if? Constantly checks the locks on the others' doors, etc. etc.

I guess I just kinda sorta want to see Aramis driving himself a bit crazy, and the others trying to figure out how to deal with it.

d'Artangan Put to the Test- Crack!

(Anonymous) 2015-01-11 04:38 am (UTC)(link)
Something funny.
d'Art is now a full Musketeer, but Treville wants to test him and make sure he's truly ready for anything. So he recruits the Inseparables and comes up with various scenarios for d'Art to try and resolve.

D'Art walks into the garrison one morning to find a irritated Athos with a sign hanging around his neck that reads 'Dangerous and Belligerent Drunk'.

A smirking Porthos standing next to Athos with a sign that reads 'Lost 6 year old'.

While a terribly amused Aramis is standing next to Porthos, with a sign that reads 'Upset pregnant Woman', a pillow stuffed into his tunic to simulate a big belly.

Slash or gen fine- but crack a must!

Bonus: if Treville is completely jerking d'Art and the Musketeers around, but they deserve it really and he needs a little amusement since his boyfriend is dead this season.

The Three Gladiators AU

(Anonymous) 2015-01-11 08:05 am (UTC)(link)
Long Prompt, but only to get the overall idea. In the time of ancient Rome under the rule of Emperor Louis, though everyone knows that senator Richelieu all but runs everything. The famed 'Inseparables' are considered some of the best Gladiators in the whole of Rome and are crowd favorites in the Colosseum, though all three would rather be free and anywhere else, reluctantly forced to fight for their lives and each other.

Athos is the unspoken leader of the group, very few knowing he is actually the only remaining son of one of the noble houses in Gaul. His family had been wealthy with much land and were loyal to the Empire, but through unexpected murder and treachery he lost it all and fell out of favor. Now he founds himself a reluctant Gladiator.
Porthos is another crowd favorite famed for his size, strength and fierceness, his father a captive Celtic slave from the wilds of Britannia and a mother who was a rich Noble woman and merchant from Nubia. He grew up on the mean streets of Rome and was already skilled in fighting and very dangerous before finding himself captured and a reluctant Gladiator.
While his lover Aramis is not only blessed with beauty but amazing skill with a bow and healing, a young soldier captured in Hispanian, he was actually a bed-slave before Richelieu had him thrown naked into the Colosseum for seducing his mistress (and most of his household staff). Aramis managed to get hold of a bow and some arrows and promptly survived, charming the crowd while he was at it.

Treville is an ex-slave who won his freedom as a Gladiator and looks out for his men, but also tries to help them possibly win their own freedom.

Slash welcome, Portamis always a plus! Feel free to add any other characters you like.

Season 2 Ep 2 spoilers, Louis is furious with d'Art

(Anonymous) 2015-01-11 10:30 am (UTC)(link)
d'Artagnan undermined the attempted execution and blatantly refused a royal command. Louis can't allow that to continue. So d'Artagnan finds himself being given all the difficult, dangerous jobs, and Louis forbids the others from helping him.

Take it anywhere you like, gen, slash, Bro4, otp4, whatever you want.
